Hi all,

I am a LIW. I have a feeling it will be happening soon, although it has been torture waiting, as he has had the ring since MARCH!

We have a trip lined up to Vegas next week and I think he may do it then but no idea how or when....

ooohh I am so excited. I have been reading up on previous posts and just wanted to say hello!

If my FH (future hubby, new acronym!) had the ring and I knew about it? I''d clunk him over the head, steal it and propose to HIM! If it''s in or around the house, it better be on my finger!

Well,

That was how I felt at first but I couldn''t say anything really for a few reasons...

1. I found out about it by accident, but didn''t actually find the ring...
2. He would be CRUSHED if he found out I knew... He is actually trying very hard to surprise me.
3. Even though I know there is a ring SOMEWHERE, I want it to be a surprise. Right after I found out he had the ring, I was expecting a proposal everytime we went out to dinner, every special occasion etc... and it was very tiring so I have relaxed a bit and let him have his time to plan the "perfect" proposal and when he surprised me and told me he booked us a short trip to Vegas, I kinda had a feeling, but again, I would never ruin what he has planned.

Welcome!! We''ve had our ring since July and my bf also has a plan. Much as Im feeling impatient, Im dying to see how he does it his way. You must be so excited for Vegas-hopefully he''ll do it then!

Well it was pure luck I found out about it. We have a fax machine in our home office that BF uses 99.9% for sending faxes. We never make or get calls on the line but the fax does have a phone attached. I am on the road a lot for work but never usually in the area by our house. BF is Law Student so he usually leaves after me and gets home before me. One day back in March, I just happened to be in the area for work and decided to stop by the house for lunch, something I don''t normally do. While I am there, I hear the fax ringing. I assumed we were receiving a fax, but apparently BF turned off the fax so the call went to the answering machine on the fax. I use it so little I didn''t even know it had an answering machine on it!? That was until I heard a voice coming from the office. It was a local jewelry store letting him know that the ring he picked out was sized and ready for pick up!!!

If they hadn''t called him by name in the message I would have thought it was a wrong number. Needless to say, I left and didn''t mention I had been home for lunch, but did notice that the light to indicate a message was gone. I couldn''t tell him I heard! The only thing I can think of as to why the fax # and not his cell is 2 reasons... 1. I think he was afraid they might call when he was with me or 2. because my work pays for both our cell phones, that I might somehow find out that way(oopps)

So now, after months of waiting, knowing he had the ring, I think he is going to do it in Vegas. He tried to play the trip off as just using our free tickets from being bumped off a flight earlier in the year, but he is being SUPER secretive about it all. He knows I love surprises but this is above and beyond anything he has done in the past. He doesn''t know that I know he has the ring. So I continue to wait, but we leave for Vegas Sept 13th!!!

I hope it is then sometime!
