Hello ladies!

I haven''t hung out here much since I "graduated", but I was hoping you''d still be willing to help me out. My BFF is getting married in July next year and is having a medieval themed wedding. We looked at dresses in stores (it''s early, but I''m 10 weeks pregnant, so it''s easier now than later in the pregnancy or with a newborn), but they are mostly cheaply made with cheap material and very expensive. So she decided to have a dressmaker make the dresses. The woman has experience with historical dresses and my friend bought a dress the woman had already made, but I''d like to make it a little easier on her and find some inspiration for the BM dresses to add to the ones we tried on. I''ll post a pic of my friend''s wedding dress to give you an idea.

Thanks in advance!

Here''s my friend''s wedding dress, from the dressmaker''s website (not on my friend).

I know a girl who had a very similar dress and she just had short dresses made for the bm''s since it was summer. I tried to black out the faces since I don''t know if they''d want their pictures posted online.

Stuff like this you will pay through the nose for and it isn''t always good quality. I go to many renn-faires and you''re looking at 300-500 for a dress. I think the dress maker is a great idea. Just do a search and find some elements that you like!

Here are some examples, so you can browse - good luck!:

No kidding. What we saw was made with really cheap fabrics and around 300$.

Thanks for the links.

Thanks diamondseeker! It doesn''t look too mismatched, and I tend to prefer more traditional dresses so I like it. I''ll see what my friend thinks.
