Hi,

I am popping the question to my girl next week and I was wondering if this is a good ring? I did the best I could but honestly I knew zilch about diamonds until a month ago and I just discovered this forum after I made my purchase. I went with a round solitaire, 1.26ct Whiteflash ACA, I, VS1 at the top of my budget range, set in a four prong platinum setting. But now that I've bought it I can't seem to stop obsessing and thinking if I made a mistake somewhere. Are there any red flags with it? Please help! My budget is around $10k.

You have chosen a top notch diamond and the four prong setting will show it off beautifully! There is always a bit of panic about spending large sums of money but I can almost guarantee your girl will be all smiles through her tears!!

Stop fretting - you did very well! - and be sure and come back with pictures for us!

Congrats to you, first of all! She is going to be over the moon! As a woman with beautiful diamonds already (if I do say so myself), an ACA is definitely on my wish list! Ya done good.

Keep us posted and some hand shots! Congrats and best of luck!

An ACA will be stunning! And, you can always upgrade by spending $1 more! So you can change it up if you want to later on.

There are only a few vendors in the world that offer the pinnacle of the Modern Round Brilliant for extremely high cut precision, and you got one of them!

The most notable are...

Whiteflash
Victor Canera
CBI
Brian Gavin
JannPaul

You knocked it out of the park!

Yep! You done good!!! Best of love and come back with pics please!!

Good luck, although I’m sure it won’t come to that.

The fact that you ended up with this gorgeous diamond from Whiteflash without any recommendations from this forum Is quite remarkable, not impossible, but remarkable. Since you are seeking affirmation and not help, I will say…WELL DONE!

Frankly with a white flash ACA it’s pretty much impossible to go wrong! And the upgrade possibilities on significant anniversaries (or just because ;) ) are limitless. You done good. Now go practise the proposal! Good luck!
