I am trying to find a green sapphire for my engagement ring. I am looking for something around 11mm long and 5mm wide, for an slender emerald cut ring. I'm trying to find a stone that airs on the more green yellowish side, and less the green/blue hue. My budget is under $1000. Looking get this made asap.

Have you tried looking over the inventory and then contacting any of the vendors on the vetted list? You might want to contact the lapidaries in case they have something like that already cut. It seems you might be able to find that color in an Aussie sapphire a bit more easily, so maybe check with Doug Menadue. There is also a relatively new Australian lapidary whose work I really like. I'll see if I can remember his name.

I think it's going to be a difficult journey to find anything with these exact specifications. Do you already have a ring and you are trying to match the gem to it? You could always consider getting something custom cut for you. Still, the $1,000 stone budget may not be feasible with the size you're asking for.

Do you have any examples of the green your looking for? I found these. If that yellow green is the color you're looking for, you may want to consider chrysoberyl, which is almost as hard on the moh scale and will definitely be more bang for your buck.

If I'm reading this correctly, you are looking for the following parameters:
  • Sapphire
  • Green or Yellowish/Green
  • Elongated emerald cut
  • 11x5mm (so maybe 3-4 cts?)
  • Under $1000
  • Available ASAP
I hate to be discouraging, but I'm not sure you'll find something that meets all these criteria. Green is a fairly rare color in sapphires, so that already narrows the field considerably. Sapphires rough also tends to be more or less round/oval, vs a long elongated crystal like tourmaline, so you don't see many cut into long emerald cuts. If you were to find a stone in those dimensions, my guess is that it would be in the 3-4 ct range (for example, this one https://www.etsy.com/listing/524039509/untreated-219-ct-precision-radiant-cut is only ~9.4mm and is ~2.2cts) so the $1000 price tag might be difficult. Finally, searching for a very particular stone can take a very long time, unless you get incredibly lucky.

All that said, would you consider a tourmaline? They aren't as hard as sapphires, but they are readily available in the color and cut you're looking for, and you should be able to find a lovely one within your budget!

Sorry I've got to say this, it's been bugging me. "Please" and "thank you" never cost a thing.

Even a friendly "hi" would have been greatly appreciated (by me anyway).

I would also ask some Australian vendors. AUD is really low right now, your money will go further.

I'm adding seda gems.

Otherwise I would personally broaden the search criterion to inlude chrysoberyl, tourmaline and maybe other more flexible options.

I have bought rough from Seda gems and I have bought opals from his father. Great guys to buy from always got fast shipping and good product. There is also an etsy shop https://www.etsy.com/shop/Gemcloseouts Its owned by a guy name Sean I buy a ton of rough from him and he always has green or green blue. below is a piece of rough I cut from Sean its unheated but came out a nice green. Sean has been a great suppler of Australian sapphires. If Sean does not have one in is shop just message him he can get you a good quality stone that size for the price your looking for

Try the vendors above that have been suggested. I've seen a stunning almost neon yellowy green Aussie sapphire that matched your description at a gemshow here in Australia - but it was over $4000AUD after haggling. I think the issue is you will struggle to find something that size, and shape in that price range.
