Help ASAP girls! Three things:
I''m in a wedding this coming weekend--and my bm dress came in a bit short and a bit tight--

1) how can I get rid of some water weight in the next 48 hours? I''ve been trying to avoid sodium and drink lots of water, but I am not on my period and yet am SO bloated.

2) The dress is black, I am pale...and my ance is flaring up...so what''s good makeup to draw attention to my eyes (not my chin acne and scary pastiness)? Brown eyes & light brown hair, if that helps...

3) I found out that the bride is not having a honeymoon (money reasons) GASP! They''re staying at a hotel near us for their wedding night, though...I know they get champage, but one of the other bmaids and I are going to try to have a basket sent to the room (or we can put it there maybe) with maybe bath salts or something? Do yall have any suggestions? Maybe a little card with money and a poem about using it for breakfast in bed? Tacky? help!

I know this is so last minute and random, and barely related to the forum, but I don''t know who else to ask! Yall are so good! Thanks in advance!

I''ve heard that a lot of times the Bride & Groom don''t have time to adequately eat throughout the day. Maybe you could put some indulgent foods in the basket like chocolates, fruits, nuts, crackers, cheese, or, how well do you know them, whipped cream?

Don''t wear eyeshadow in the green family. It will accentuate the (opposite red on the color wheel) contrast to any red hues to your skin. I would do a smoky grey with browns for your eyes.

I don''t know how to tell you to lose water weight - which isn''t good because it''s coming from the protein in your muscle - why not buy a $25 pair of Spanx for a little minimizing?

a few years ago i had a major major red "angry" zit (the cystic acne kind) gone horribly wrong, smack between my eyebrows and i was a bridesmaid,
i normally don''t wear much makeup, but let me tell you, if you can find a place near you that carries the FACE stockholm brand of makeup, they have a neutralizer that is fabulous.
usually salons/spas carry FACE and will have someone help match the color.

i still use it to this day because of how well it covered up.

good luck!

cut the carbs. you need water to store carbs. chicken breast diet?

Starset, good thinking with the food! They LOVE food, and I do know them well enough to give whipped cream, haha! I''ve never in my life used any sort of water-weight tips, I usually don''t care...it''s just the last couple days so bloated! Maybe if I just keep drinking all this water it will pass... As for the Spanx, I''ve got this bodysuit thing (looks like a full chastity suit) that is a bra/minimizer/underwear, so that will help some.. And a gray eye sounds classic...thanks!

labbielove, I will look for FACE today after work, thanks so much!

Thanks girls...

Yall keep the advice coming, the more heads the better!

I love you all!

Julie, I LOVE chicken and veggies...I was planning on zucchini and squash for supper...but I''ll have to find the chicken later, I have none in the fridge (oh no!)

1) I heard on Tyra once that models wrap body parts in plastic wrap for quick loss of water weight. I''ve never tried it, but it''s worth a shot right?

2) I swear by perscriptives make up. I broke my nose in ''04 and had two black eyes. Their coverup concealed it enough so that I could go out in public. When I went to buy more (I used a whole lot with those black eyes) they had changed their concealer, and I think it''s even better now. It has an anti-inflamatory in it. Also, try Clean & Clear Advantage Acne spot treatment. I think the package says something like 99% of people saw a reduction in 1 day. I love it. It definitely helps clear things up fast.

3) I like the gift basket idea.

Starset, I was told by the people at Sephora to use a green-tinted concealer on red marks- the green balances it out. They also gave my dad "Juice" brand redness reliever that was green tinted. When I had a blemish, I used a greenish powder and it really took the red away.. Maybe green eyeshadow would call attention to the red, but to cover it up may not be so bad?

1) My BM dress was tight around the waist, and I was really worried about it, but come the day of, we were so busy doing x,y,z that I didn''t even NOTICE that it was uncomfortable... I just drank water only and no extra sugar/salt....

2) I''m no help on makeup! :)

3) I suggest food also - we got some delicious choc dipped strawberries compliments of the hotel on our wedding night - DH and I LOVED it!! so maybe some nice sweets too. You can also call in to the hotel and pay for something, like a late brunch, and they can notify your friends when they check in.

stay away from the pasta and anything that comes from a box or a bag. Stick to eggs, chicken, seafood, veggies, and fruit! Hold back on the milk, cream, and icecream, but real cheese is fine. That should do the trick.

Squeeze lemon in water and drink that. Also asparagus should help with the water retention. Maybe a sauna as well?

Don''t poke the zits, and the green coverup does help. There should be some sort of insta-dry stuff at eh drugstore, just be careful you don''t get red peelin skin and zits!

Girls, thank you SO much! The wedding was beautiful...I don't know what I would have done without yalls advice.
Edited to remove the photographer link...didn't want to get in trouble with any of the people in the pictures...you just never know!

thanks for sharing the pics- what a beautiful wedding!

Also, take a vitamin C tablet several times spread throughout the next couple of days...it's a natural diuretic but won't screw up your system like chemical ones will. I make sure I get 2000 mg of vitamin C on the days that I feel bloated or puffy and it helps get rid of the extra water. And since Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin, you don't have to wory about the higher intake because your body will discharge what it doesn't use.

ETA: Oops, didn't look at the date. Sorry I'm a bit late with the suggestion. I'm glad you had fun!!!!
