Help judging my diamonds Ideal Scope image?

I recently purchased a diamond, here are the specs:
1.7ct
Ideal Cut
E Color
VVS2 Clarity
L/W/H: 7.66, 7.69, 4.66
Table: 58%
Depth: 60.8%
Crown Angle: 34.5deg
Pavillion Angle: 40.5deg

I also ordered a beginner Ideal Scope and I inspected the diamond using my iPhone with an all white screen as the backlight.
I attached a picture below which was hard to capture clearly, however, the symmetry and proportions look great and much better in the scope, in person, than in the pics I provided, so no worries for me there.

My main concern is that the black arrows aren't really as dark as I see in most Ideal Scope images.
The arrows are a sort of dullish black and I am not sure how to go about reading this result because I've never really seen a reference to it.

Here are the two best Ideal Scope images I could capture with my phone:

Any opinions on this Ideal Scope image? I have 30 days to exchange the diamond, so an honest opinion would be greatly appreciated, thanks ahead!

IS images are fine.
The arrows are lighter because some light is entering the top of the scope.
To get them dark black the light between the camera/phone and the scope has to be reduced or blocked off.

The pavilion at 40.5 average may have mains that go under ~40.45 and create obstruction issues.
To check for this view the diamond at about half arm length and the arrows should be bright or close to it if there is no problems.
If some stay dark beyond that then you need to decide if you think it makes the diamond look dark or not.

Ah I see, thanks for the info. When I hold the diamond at half arms length it looks really bright and the star appears silvery bright white rather than darker black, so I think it doesn't have much obstruction issues, but Im no pro so who knows haha. I can only see the star in dark black when holding a few inches away from my eye, but even then the center is bright aside from the star. Again, thanks for the info, definitely made me feel better about it.

Who’s calling it “Ideal”?
Is it being advertised as “Hearts and Arrows”?
AGS report? Post the remainder of the info - including date of issue and any notations in comments.
Looks like it’s got some slight painting - slight. Some like that, someone don’t, most won’t care.
Please don’t even think of getting this stone recut. If it’s not exactly what you want, then return and get exactly what you want... But it sounds like you’re happy with it, and from what you’ve posted thus far I see nothing that should dissuade your positive opinion.

Thanks for the reply! Well, its a lab diamond (sorry just realized this is the natural diamond section of the forum ), so IGI gave it an ideal grade. What is crown painting? Tried a quick google search, but nothing came up.

That is a perfect description it sounds like there are no obstruction issues.

I edited my original post to emphasize that the painting is slight. There’s an old PS article with some great info somewhere, let me find it...

Don't worry about looking up crown painting this diamond does not have any problematic amount.
When I saw the 40.5 number if figured it was a mmd with igi report but it makes me no difference when I answer.

Thanks so much! Yeah it looks great in person, I can just be a bit obsessive at times haha. But you guys really helped me come to a final decision on keeping it. Thanks again!!
