I would want to see pics from the vendor in natural light. The prices are quite low for unheated sapphires, and I dont think any of those labs are well recognized.

Does unheated matter to you? And what is your ideal color? Budget?

The first one looks overly dark and grayish, and the second one might also be a bit dark. The third one looks the most promising but still am not sure. Its risky to buy from unknown vendors without a reliable cert.

Looks like the seller is directly from Sri Lanka, hence the lower prices, and there are a bunch of threads on the reputability of CGL -- truly local Sri Lankan sellers do not have access to GIA, AGL, Lotus, etc. This is a fairly new seller and it's always good to be wary, but many members here especially Asian members have had good experiences buying direct from the source with local lab certification. I agree with Lovedogs to ask for photo or video on the back of the hand in indoor lighting. I do think you should check out "Leenagemslk" on IG who usually has 1-2 ct stones, his prices I think even better than this.

They are all different colors so hard to give you advice without knowing what you are looking for. For example, violet blue sapphires are not as preferred / expensive as blue-only sapphires but I love them so the lower price is a bonus for me. What are you looking for?

They are all pretty stones. That said, if it was me, the only one I would consider would be the third one, but I would want to see photos of it on their hand like they have done with the others. The other two seem to have wedge-shaped areas where the color is different (lighter in one, darker in the other). It is almost like 1/2 and 1/2 shadowing one sees in lots of ovals, but the discoloration does not affect the full 1/2 the stone, just one area, starting on one side in the middle of the stone and extending towards the end.

I love the fact that it seems so much easier to do business directly with the dealers in Sri Lanka now - it has really brought prices down if you are willing to take the risk.

The conventional wisdom would have you buy from “preferred” vendors that are going to charge you >$4000/carat for a Sri Lanka sapphire, which is way above what any gem price guide values these gems at (basically a 100-200% markup). The listed price for a Sri Lanka sapphire in vvs and a good cornflower blue is about $1000-3000/carat. This may also represent retail. I echo the sentiments of others above, it’s a gamble but there are much better buys to be had if you are willing to take a bit of risk buying from the source country. Here, I think the price is a bit low (may be suspicious) and the CGL certificate doesn’t appear to be very credible. For this seller, I would proceed with caution
