Also, the 1.18ct has more inclusion than the 1.19ct. Should I be concerned?

Prefer the numbers of the 1.18c. No way you are going to see anything in a correctly graded VS1 graded stone, no matter how many inclusions are marked on the map, unless you are superman.

Thanks Stone-cold11, the difference between the two diamond is $600. The diamond specialist insist the 1.19ct was a better diamond because it has less inclusions and only clouds and pinpoints. While the 1.18ct has crystal, clouds and needle. Im not sure if he is right or not.

Will the inclusion crystal, clouds and needle in the middle affect the light return?

I am really confused if i should go for a diamond with more inclusion in the middle with better numbers or less inclusion but number is not as good??

No way any inclusions will affect light performance at VS1 level.

Big fat ditto.

I've read on a few sites, some says if the inclusion is in the centre of the diamond it will affect the brilliance of the diamond.

I thought I asked your opinion if it is true.

This is my first diamond purchase and I am really nevous about it. The 1.19ct ($13,080)is $600 more than the 1.18ct ($12,480) and I wasn't sure if it was worth it since the numbers on 1.19ct isn't as good as the 1.18ct.

I understand your fear. If you have an I2 stone with a cloud inclusion deep in the centre of the stone near the culet, an area through which most light rays traverse, it's going to look like a fluffy marshmallow - not the look you want in your diamond.

But remember, there are three causes for concern - size, spread, and location, and *all* of those need to align badly for a stone to show poorly. A properly graded VS1 (as in, graded by AGS/GIA/AGA..) will have inclusions that fulfil neither of those first two requirements, so location of the inclusion doesn't matter in the least.

You have no need to worry with a VS clarity diamond in this size.
