Help me decide between 1.23 ct G vs.1.0 ct F please!

Hello,
So I only have few days to make a big decision on these two diamonds both ideal cut.

Both RB, and eye clean confirmed by BG.

Round cut in tiffany half round setting in platinum.


1. 1.233 ct. G color si2
2. 1.02 ct. F color si1


price is similar,
however I can not choose between these two since both have perfect cut and eye clean for sure.

what would be your choice if the price was the same?

1.233 is notably bigger than 1.0 right?

Yes, 1.23 is larger, but I wouldn't do SI2 for an engagement ring. I'd stick with VS2-SI1. BG stones are excellent, and I'd would want good quality in all the specs, personally. However, you might want to expand your search to include WhiteFlash to have more options. I'd go to a happy medium of G SI1. The 1.12 G SI1 that BG lists has a horrible black inclusion under the table which is why I looked further. The SI2 might be okay, but I'd have to look at it in person before making that choice.

Do you have pictures or anything? If BGD says it is eye-clean, I'd go for hte bigger G.

I agree. If this is the one jsylee7 is referring to, I think it's a great choice! To be on the safe side, could you see it before having it set so you could confirm that it is eye clean to YOUR standards? At the very least, talk to the vendor and tell them your definition of eye clean (ie: from the sides etc) and see what they say.

I don't know if these are in your price range, but the cut can't be beat. Added bonus: You can enjoy it for a while while you save up for something bigger and upgrade with 100% full value. If you call Wink, he might be able to source you something slightly bigger, or higher color. He found the perfect thing for me.
