I really love this dress and can''t decide whether to have the ribbon on or off...either way it would look nice but with the ribbon on it adds a little to the bust, but without out it its simple and traditional looking. My style is usually bold so this is a dress I wouldn''t normal look at. Usually it would be all about beading but I''m starting to like the look of how delicate lace can be. So let me know what you think ribbon on or off....also if the ribbon does stay on I planned on shorteningi the ribbon so there wasn''t so much excess hanging down like it is in the picture. I was going to have it more of a perfect straight petite bow..i''ll show a pic of the kind of bow it would look like right underneath the dress photo

Here''s the dress

Here''s how a shortened bow would look if it stays on

i love the dress! what about no bow and just the ribbon going round the dress? i definitely prefer the long bow to the short.

I like it with the bow... if you''re a "bold" person it may add some oomph (although I admit the dress is also lovely as is.) I am sort of the same way w/ stuff, I can''t do anything subtly, so the bow might be a nice addition.

I love that dress! I think the bow is essential for it to look as nice as it does. However, I prefer the shortened bow because it looks crisper and cleaner. The long one looks a little messy.

i would take the bow completely off, i think it breaks up the nice clean vertical line of the bodice.

by the way that dress is gorgeous...sooo elegant, i

I like the bow, and I'd like it better if the ends were shortened. Just remember, it looks like the two ribbons are pretty different size-wise, and I think the bow in the picture you like is able to stay up because of the strength. The ribbon at the top is thin and therefore droopy.

I do like the bow but just would prefer the ends shortened. I agree as said above that it does look sloppy. The more I look at it the more I think either way it would look nice. Thank you all for your opinions. I appreciate it

I prefer the bow!!! But I''m a little biased... every dress I have liked so far has either a ribbon around it or an empire waist... this ribbon is making it an empire!! I think it lengthens the bodice, which a lot of times ends up looking rather short in comparison to the a-line and ball skirts. And it also give an illusion of height (that is if you don''t already have it), and it will be extra slimming (on top of the small waist and full skirt). I like both bows myself. I would probably go with the longer one for me, just because I like things hanging. But the small one looks very clean as well.

Very pretty dress. Do you have any pictures of YOU in it with & without the bow? I think the decision on the bow could depend on how it looks on you.

The longer bow will help elongate the torso while the short bow will actually make it look shorter. The long bow is nice, but maybe there is a way to make it less messy. No bow will put the emphasis more on the waist rather than the bustline.

pretty dress!

i agree with island, I think the decision depends on how the dress looks on you -- without or without the bow -- but i''m leaning for no bow.

Definitely shorter ends if you opt for the bow. Gorgeous dress!!
