I had a custom band made for hubby in sterling 1st, as a prototype/tester in case he did not like it.
It was a surprise, I went kinda radical/unexpected & not traditional for his wedding band. He did not see it til we were exchanging rings during the ceremony.
He LOVES the ring, so now I am moving forward with upgrading & getting it made in gold/platinum.
The diamond I originally had bezel set in his band was absolutely fine BEFORE I got my OEC, but now I kind of feel sorry for him.
I am trying to make it *mind clean* for me LOL
He's not asking for anything different, but I would like him to get some fire if I can find one close to the size before I have the upgrade done.
I know it is usually easier to find smaller stones, but I am having no luck so far.
Am looking in the 4.25-4.5mm spread range for an OEC or a transitional cut that is NOT dead in the middle, has fire & will look good bezeled.
Doesn't need to be certed, does need to be a mined diamond.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated. I've got about a week to see if I can find one. Otherwise the modern brilliant is going into the new ring, & I'm gonna forever feel like I short changed him!!!
