Hi,
I'm a new member here and to be honest, I've signed up to inquire about something I've got.
In North Sinai, Egypt, specifically in the Mediterranean sea, some fishermen found these "stones" or "glass", I'm not sure. and attached below are samples that were cut out of pieces that weigh from 4 up to 15 kg. They say it could have been dropped by some ship as they don't believe it belongs to the sea. there are other colours but I have these two right now and really need to know what is it and if it precious. Sorry if the photos aren't clear. It's the best I can take by my mobile.
and thank you in advance for your help :)

I am absolutely not an expert but I'll give you my initial opinion. The green stone looks to be glass. In the first picture you can see the rounded lines around the break. That's called a conchoidal fracture. It happens when a material doesn't have any cleavage. The smooth rounded break is common with glass.
The brown one is anyone's guess :)

I tend to agree with suzanne2 about the green stone.
It does look exactly like glass to me.
You can always send those chunks in to GIA or AGL who can give you a definite answer, although it will cost you a couple hundred.
Good luck!

I would say glass for the green one. The second one is probably glass as well. I’m just going on looks. The green one is a beautiful color. You could wire wrap it and make a pendant.

I was thinking glass too!
