I'm new to diamonds. I need help on how diamonds are priced.
For example, Let's take a look at these 2 diamonds. They have the same color and clarity rating.
#2 is 10% bigger and has much much better cut (to my understanding).
Yet #1 is $10 more expensive.
Why? Is that because #2 has more black inclusions? I would still think #2 will look much better in real life. What am I missing?

James Allen doesn't link to the certs so we can't see the measurements to evaluate cut. The larger stone does have medium fluorescence, which will generally have some sort of discount over Faint/None.

Please post the certificates. But from just eyeballing, stone 1 is poorly cut, and stone 2 is much much better.

Obviously. Neither is perfect but I can't understand the pricing of #1... Given the performance and size difference, #1 is much more expensive. Why would anyone want that ?
