Ladies, could you please share your thoughts on this beauty? It is a ~12ct Sri Lanka blue with a bit violet hue. I plan to reset it in a three-stone.

Thank you so much!!

Disclaimer: zero knowledge of gems or precious stones :) Just a customer!

I am just curious. Why would you wanna reset it? To me, it looks like a very pretty Princess Diana ring. It's a statement ring for a strong personality. I like it the way it is!

Next comment will be controversial so please feel free to ignore! Are you sure you would not be taking away from its value by making it some sort of popular 3-stone McRing?

Have you seen my disclaimer above though? ;) :)

Have you seen the ring in person?
The GIA report photo shows the sapphire looking less vivid than in the other two photos.
If the other two photos are vendor photos, you don’t know what lighting conditions the ring was photographed in.
By this I mean, what you see with your own eyes in person in lighting where you live (both indoors and outdoors) might not match the colour in the vendors photos. It may look a lot darker in real life in anything less than bright lighting.
And this might matter a lot to you.
In relation to the sapphire, if the vendor photos are accurate it’s a nice vivid blue. It has visible crystal inclusions which might matter, or not, to you.
One point though, are you able to just buy the sapphire alone?
You will be paying a lot extra $$$$ for the sapphire as a sapphire and diamond ring and if you want to use the sapphire in another ring, that’s a bit of a waste of money.
You might be better using the full amount to search for a loose sapphire and get something bigger/ better.

You must have a huge finger if you plan to add two side stones to that big boy! =)2

Thank you for your input, Bron357. I have not seen it in person.

Decided to pass on it.
