Hello, I would appreciate some opinions for an emerald cut engagement ring. I am based in Canada, so mostly looking at JA & Bluenile. I am hoping to keep things around 1300CAD/1000USD. I've been looking at 0.5-0.6 ct stones that are approximately 6x4mm. Beyond that, my priority is cut; I would hate to have a "dead stone" or one with a "dead center". My search has landed me on 5 possibilities, and I am having analysis paralysis! I would appreciate any thoughts on the following (or other advice/recommendations).

My main contenders:
GIA 2396880678 GIA 6392115013 GIA 5396703277
Two lesser contenders:
This one is a bit too yellow, but maybe the blue flashes would offset it?
The black crystal on the table...will it be easily visible, considering how small the stone is?

My opinions

1) get the gia report to find out what the SI2 inclusion is
2) Might be ok, something about it is bothering me. I think its the outer crown facets all being dark while the center is all white.
(when the stone is not tilted and is facing the screen)
3) Not very lively in the middle; could be the photog though
4) Dont really like the inclusion but faceting looks like it is promising
5) This looks pretty good except for right down in the very center not doing much

Thank you. I’m sorry I edited my post and changed up the order on you, but I can still appreciate your input!

The SI2 inclusion on the 0.6ct is twinning wisp. Seems very minor to my eye to make it SI2 but it is the only inclusion listed.

Can you post a pic of the GIA report of the SI2. Sometimes a lot of twinning wisp can make the stone look hazy but sometimes its
just a few twinning wisp that are more visible that give it an SI2. Need to know the difference.

Wish this one had more corners on it but it is flashing nicely
This one is nice...looks like just the two facets in the middle not flashing. Nice shape and even amount of facets on/off at same time.

Your 0.6ct pick is lovely! Now I have more to think about. :p The other one has strong flor, and hazy or not, I don’t like the “blueness” of it.

Here is the GIA report for the 0.6ct SI2 with twinning wisps—doesn’t seem to have anything overly helpful…

That link to the GIA report is not working.

Ah, strong blue on an "I" is perfect for me (bar any oiliness). But I get your point!

Yes, that link worked. There are no additional comments to be concerned about. If you are interested in that stone ask JA
about the SI2 and whether its hazy or cloudy.
