Hi, anyone that can help, I'd love some input. @Wink , @Texas Leaguer ?

I have an older channel set ring that is pretty thin, which is precisely why I love it. However, I was looking at it closely last night, and saw two tiny little holes on the bottom of where two of the diamonds are, probably from rubbing against another ring below it. Is this possible to repair - can my jeweler add a little gold over these spots and smooth it out? (It won't be rubbing against any rings in the future.)

Pics!

The little holes are so tiny I don't think I could get a good picture. I found them when I was using a loupe.

Even pics of the ring itself ( not even showing the damage) might provide some info. But the fact is: without examining the ring firsthand, the likelihood is that all anyone can do is guess:)

I happened to take a picture yesterday. The damage though is on the bottom. It can't hurt to see if you can give your thought, and I appreciate the response.

Just imagine the two center diamonds (four total on each side) with small holes. You can see the edge of the tiny diamonds (the center is .44, a little deep, for perspective) as if they were little sawblades. Which I guess they kind of are, but the holes extend down past where the diamond edges are. I just now took one that I don't think is going to be helpful, lol. @Wink @Texas Leaguer - I think I have my answer, no need for you to respond. :)

David, thanks for your response. I was freaking out just a little. My jeweler finally opened - I described the problem and he didn't think it would be too hard to fix. Of course that's on the phone & not in person, lol. I thought I'd leave you with a (BAD) picture of the ring I bought from you years ago. You probably won't remember it, but the only change I made was to put it into a yellow gold lower set head. A before (your picture) 3391883380-2354777562.jpgcar (2).jpgand after. Looks darker in my picture than it actually is.
