Hi everybody! Thank you for your comments....I''ve been oggling all the rings here ever since I stumbled on the site while researching and getting ring design ideas, and it''s so exciting to finally post THE NEW RING! Let me tell you I have learned so much about diamonds I think I am now officially obsessed...I can''t believe how little I knew before. I think I may know too much now...the other day I commented to my friend that the stone in her ring looked like an asscher, and she said "A whadda?" Guess I will only be able to talk about diamonds to you all......
Anyway I got the ring last Friday and it left me speechless when I saw it for the first time. I don''t get too excited or exuberant about very many things but this got me jumping up and down like I was 6 again. The center stone is a 2.22 cushion cut, vg cut, g polish, I, VS2 set in platinum...the shank is milgrained pave w/ tcw of 1.05 diamonds along the shank and on the two bands underneath the center stone. I tried to capture the detailing and craftsmanship of the ring because it is so flawless...I was informed the jeweler who made the ring was just recently voted the national jeweler of the year (or something like that) and it isn''t hard to see why! At first I was skeptical about getting my ring custom made but I now I highly recommend taking that route to anyone, especially if you can find a reputable, skilled jeweler. At least you know it''ll be one-of-a-kind!

We worked w/ a jeweler for San Diego Gem Associates who found the main stone for us from NY....then got another jeweler to do the setting, although I didn''t correspond w/ this jeweler and he was simply referred to as "MIchelangelo" and all I knew of him was that he was supposedly the best out there. He does excellent work.
