Hi PS Team!
I am hoping for some guidance on my upgraded e-ring.
It is a 3.10 carat GIA F/SI1 Elongated Cushion that I adore.
I was so happy to be able to aquire her without letting my original e-ring go that I gave zero attention to her existing setting at the time…i was simply happy that she was in a solitaire setting.
What I think I want now is a more delicate shank and perhaps set slightly lower.
I normally love double claw prongs but I’m thinking if I go more delicate, perhaps single claws are better.
I also am tossing around the idea of a yellow gold shank with platinum basket and prongs although I’m so thrilled with her ice-white color, I’m concerned that may interfere with my enjoyment of her color.
I also need to decide if she should be antique-looking or plain and modern.
I do know she was born as an antique Oval that was chipped and was recut to this Elongated Cushion….so perhaps she would be more comfortable if set antique style with milgrain or a baguette halo or something.
I’m open to anything but am sure I want her to remain north-south.
Compass prongs are ok.
Last night I even started to get crazy and was aligning her next to my 2.64 RBC original ering to see if maybe I do a toi et moi with both stones but I’m not sure they played nicely together. I can’t envision it.
As you can see, I am super flexible and just need a flash of inspiration so I thought to call in the PS experts.
