Ok.. I get married on May 13th. I have my dress, I have my hairstyle.. or do I!! ARGHHHH!!!

I am rethinkinh my hairstyle.. do I want this? Do I want something different.

I am rethinking my dress... There is a 1400$ dress for 299$ That I have had my eye on for 3 years... should I get that one... the other one seems bland.. or is it... oh god.. I am going nuts!!
Here is the front of my hair.. just a reminder...

Oops.. that was the back ... here is the front

why are you making yourself nuts over this??

i think your dress and hair and all that is great and works fabulously on you, stick with it and don't second guess it. you'll drive yourself even crazier trying to think of alternatives. go with your gut.

i know this is sacrilege to say this around here.... but IT'S JUST A WEDDING! Don't go insane. trust me after it's all over you don't even remember how your hair looked.

Mine,

We''re sisters! I am totally rethinking (and redoing!) my dress... I don''t even know what my hair is going to be, I don''t have a veil (well I do but it doesn''t match my dresses because they''re ivory and it''s white) and I decided my shoes flip flop too much when I walk and I want some ivory slingbacks! (And my wedding is 9 days after yours!)

It''s wedding stress, partially, as well as realizing that maybe the decisions you made a few months ago weren''t right. I let price dictate my wedding dress (a necessity to some point, but I was a little ridiculous) and now am eating the loss and having to buy a new one.

Your hair looks lovely, it is very decadent and a bit baroque. Pics of wedding dress? What time of day wedding is it?

OOORRR SHOULD I do something more like this:

First, I love your hair. It looks so great on your face/bone structure. I haven't seen your dress but truly, when you picked it, you must have loved it.

I did the same thing a few weeks ago questioning my dress decision but I realized that when I picked my dress, I felt beautiful in it and I bet you did, too. Don't second guess yourself. With 3 weeks to go, you're ready, girl!

Mara.. you are right... I know. And I am the first to agree that it is just a wedding. But I love the dress that I have been looking at... and I was also thinking since the dress I got is long sleeve that I might regret wearing it since it is May and I am in the Humid Carolinas. But how can I justify the dress, It is a waste... well, I do have 2 daughters... hmmm

The wedding is @ 5:00. So it will not be compltetly dark yet, but it will be on it''s way. If it were cool that day.. it would be perfect.. but I am not sure that it is going to be. I bought my dress in the name of price as well.. and now I feel icky about it.

Thanks SD.... when I got it done.. I loved it.. then I thought it would look too formal.. then not...

Mine,

Although judging by your pics you will look lovely even if you wore a flour sack, I really empathize with you about the dress. Although I haven''t seen a picture of it, if you don''t feel good in it you may do yourself a disservice. Only you can decide, however, if it is just "wedding freak out" or if you really, really don''t like your dress. Do you feel pretty in it at all? Have you discussed this with FI or friends or mom or aunt or whoever? What do they think?

FI truly thought I was NUTS for wanting a different dress a month before the wedding, but he told me that my happiness was important and that if I didn''t spend too much money I could go buy another one and he wouldn''t care at all. Actually, he insisted (I think he didn''t want to hear me griping for the rest of my life.) The deal maker for me was this: Will I look at this dress in my pictures every day for the rest of my life and say "WOW! Only $70!" or will I regret that I wore something I felt ugly in?

Pics, please please please? Are the sleeves sheer or solid? If they''re sheer you can pull it of no matter what the temperature!

Oh, I am such a genius.

I went back and found some pics of your dress, I will post them for you (since they are already here on PS I am guessing you don''t mind, I hope I''m right!)

Here is the dress... I think it''s very pretty! And I like the long, sheer, flowing sleeves, so unique and attractive.

Do you have pics of the $299 (used to be 1400) dress for comparing and ogling?

DON''T change your hair, it is so lovely on you. I actually really love the part right above your forehead
where it is smooth and straight. I also really love your dress--- so there.
BUT, I am always happy to look at more dress pics, so post pictures of the OTHER dress...
Thanks!
Tybee

Okay, get a grip. The only way you can pull off getting that new dress is if you go tonight. If you hesitate, then forget it. Being that it''s 8:30pm your time right now, you better be at the shop right now if you wanna make this happen. You only have 2 1/2 weeks.

The dress you have is SO PRETTY!!! And your hair looks SO LOVELY!!!! And you have such a pretty face that it won''t matter if you wear the planned style with the hair or go with the new one you posted. That one''s pretty too and obviously your stylist is talented (s/he did a great job with the first one) so take your pick, you can''t go wrong.

Just trust your gut. Do what is going to give you that happy butterfly feeling, not anxious butterflies.

I know how you feel about rethinking it. I''ve been there, haven''t we all been there? But in the end I felt giddy about my dress after feeling very blah toward it for months.

Trust your gut!!

The hair, dress, makeup, EVERYTHING you''ve shared so far are PERFECT!! Sounds to me like nervous energy that needs to be redirected. Do you have any wedding, school, home items that need attention? Find something to occupy your time until the big day or you''ll truly drive yourself nutso

. Your such a lovely person, I''d hate to see you committed

it really is too late for a new dress, and that first one is so beautiful...

but honestly, I would run out a do a trial with that hair style you posted, it would go really well with your gown if it turns out. such a romantic dress would go well with a romantic hairstyle like that. if you do another trial, don''t forget to post more pics!

I think your original hair (which is gorgeous!) goes better with your original dress :P

Do you have a pic of the dress that just went on sale?

I personally think you are just getting anxious about your wedding and second guessing everything. Save yourself some money and A LOT of stress and stick with what you have. Your dress is so pretty, and your hair looks great!! You don''t want to spend the last few weeks before your wedding stressing about a new dress getting altered and trying out a new hairstyle. Enjoy this time before your wedding instead of stressing out about it.. I''m sure everything will be great!!
