Help selecting round diamond for engagement ring

G'day Pricescope,

I've been trying to pick a great diamond for my partner's engagement ring and have been paralyzed by so much information!
My budget is around AU$16-18k (about 10-12k US).
Looking for a round cut, around 1 to 1.5 carats.
I've been looking mostly at VS1 or better, and D-G colour.
We're both more interested in a great cut and well performing diamond than size.

Here are some that seem like possible choices.

In the hearts image, there are a couple of white flashes (no pun intended) near the outside. Bottom left and top right. Are they a sign of something? Also seems to show a bit of orange/brown at the bottom (although it looks like all of whiteflashes diamonds have this somewhat?)

Similar to above, white flashes in the hearts picture. Also seems to have orange/brown colourisation, less pronounced but in more areas.

No ASET images? The GEMEX report seems to show a good spread of fire and sparkle?

Any advice on the above options? Am I headed in the right direction at least?

The Whiteflash diamonds are beautiful! I can definitely recommend them. I would always choose a vendor that provides as many images as possible as it takes the guesswork out of your choices. I love the 1.187 from Whiteflash, and it seems like quite a good value compared to others in the same size range. I'd put it on hold while you're still considering it.

I like the 1.15 G VS1. Compare the sparkle videos on the two WF stones. That was my deciding factor.

For cut, definitely whiteflash is the choice.
Out of the 2, I personally would get the cheaper one since they are both super ideal cut - naked eye won't be able to discern the minuscule differences at this point.

Whiteflash, Victor Canera, Brian Gavin, Distinctive Gem, Diamonds by Lauren...all great choices that can get you a pinnacle diamond.

JannPaul 1.0-1.2ct Decagon should be in the $12k range, if you are interested in that speciality cut.

Ended up going with the 1.18
They both seemed really good. And since I'm happy with either, the slightly cheaper one that has fewer visible inclusions on the cert while still being a touch bigger seemed like a good choice.
