Help with blemish on platinum ring

I recently purchased this platinum ring setting and it just arrived. It has some scratches on it and in particular I noticed this blemish which looked more obvious than the others. Could this be polished out by the jeweller I get to set the stone or is it likely to compromise the structure of the ring?

My guess is it's unsightly but probably will not cause structural issues. Experts will weigh in.

They didn't have one in the size we needed so they said they were custom making one. Do you think they just grabbed an existing one and resized it?

Same here. I had a ring look like that from a bad resize job

I can not say for 100% sure from a photo but it looks that way.

Should I accept this? Would it be possible to buff it out? Or should I just request they do it again?

It needs to be fixed, that would probably involve adding more solder then polishing it back.
