Hi to all and I hope everyone is well. I am stumped about a design and would love some opinions. I have a small OMC about 1 ct and two 3 mm OECs that I want to put into a ring. I have a pendant that was made from a component and I would like the ring so echo the same era. Here is the pendant (bad photos)

so I have two CAD designs and I just can't figure out what looks best. I want the wraps on the shank and the collet type setting. My indecision is the to have the split shank or not. Here are the top down views of the two options and I'd really appreciate your input. I'm leaning towards not using the split shank. What do you think?

The one on the right catches my eye! So pretty! What a fun project!
Thank you @MamaBear I think I like that one best as well. Something about the split shank isn't sitting right with me but I'm not sure why.

Agree no split shank

I like the one on the right. Simple and elegant. It will make your rocks stand out more!

I think you might not like the split shank because it makes the whole thing look too busy, also a split shank on a 3 stone is a bit handicapped in that you can’t really see the split very cleanly on the top. In the images the split shank almost looks like a reverse taper if you don’t zoom in. I also prefer the right - I think it’ll look lovely!

Another vote for the one on the right!

I vote right, keeps the focus on the trio in collet.

I love the one on the right too. This is going to be stunning

It looks fabulous!

I love it! I can't wait for hand shots

Just to close the circle my ring is complete and on its way to my. I love the way it looks in the photos. I can’t wait to see it. 861858E1-1DE8-4A39-8900-C5554C0B8C9B.jpegE46BD809-CC61-460F-B59F-BFB8358FF628.jpeg

Thank you @mrs-b. David and Amy per my usual choice. It’s so easy to work with them and they never disappoint me.

I saw this on IG and had to stop to admire it!

It's just gorgeous. It has such a soft, old-world vibe to it. Where do you find your stones? I've always been a round brilliant kind of girl, but in the last year I've bought a nice pair of OECs from Ivy and Rose, and I also bought a 1.05ct AVR from Good Old Gold. I've also had some OEC melee (which were stunning!) cut by Yoram. But that's about the full range of my non-mrb diamonds. Always looking for good tips on this, and you always seem to have something on the cooker!

@mrs-b I purchased the OMC from Alex Parks. I follow him on Instagram and you have to be quick as everything he posts gets put on hold by someone almost immediately. The two small OECs were part of a suite I purchased on LoupeTroop a while ago, bit didn't use (because of size) in the ring made with the suite as I wanted different size stones instead, so I had them left over and the color was good for my OMC so the combo worked. I'm trying to use the random stones I've picked up along the way instead of having unset stones sitting around. I'm almost there.

In which case...we're twins! I'm trying to use up all my stones as well. I have so many baby diamonds hanging about...I really need to use them on projects! ( - like...REALLY!)

My EC in my avatar came from Alex. Great diamond and a wonderful pick-up for an amazing price!

The ring came out gorgeous! I love it!

What metal are the prongs/colettes made from in these rings? It looks like silver?

I had to go dig up the old emails to see what was used. The email I got from Amy said this. And the only stamp in the ring re: metal says 14k. I'm guessing they antiqued the white gold.

Your beautiful ring is solid 14k yellow and white gold weighing 2.64 grams,
