Help with locating or creating a paticular setting

Hi everyone-

I''m trying to purchase a E-Ring. The type of ring/setting that we want to get resembles Scott Kays design very closely...

I was wondering if anyone could help with pointing me in the direction of a custom design... etc.

I''ve been told by some vendors.. they cannot "re-create" the scott kay setting.
I''m looking for a three stone ring, and then channel set stones aside those. With a "surprise" diamond...
Scott Kay wants 6k for any setting close.

Or we''d be willing to settle for a Solitare design with channel set stones but again needs to have the "surprise" diamond. (diamond set on the side of the setting)

Center will be Princess-
would like the other stones to be princess/square also.

What does everyone suggest or recommend? I was trying to save some money... but again I cant seem to find anything with surprise diamonds.

There is no way for me to post pictures of these scott kay designs, but the model #''s are - M1155QD10 & M1154QD10

No vendor will all-out copy a designer piece, it counts as copyright enfringement. I can''t find the settings you mentioned; are the side stones and melee also princess cut? A three stone with a surprise diamond should be simple enough to have made, you just can''t have an exact copy of the Scott Kay piece made.

Who would you recommend? WF told me they can''t do a surprise diamond- for that reason.

Does GOG do custom work?

GOG both does custom and has a number of setting brands that they source from. I think that Knox makes something similar to what you want, but their website is down today. Wink also has a new benchperson that's been getting rave reviews.

Can you link to the settings you're interested in?

Yes those are the two SK rings I was looking and we were thinking of.

The Knox Settings are very nice, even without the surprise diamond. I''m guessing the H SI side stones they use won''t impact the the F or G center stone we are going to put in there??

Nope, in general as long as the melee are well cut, you won't notice a difference in color.

ERD also has a solitaire with channel set radiants that's similar to the first SK setting. You might ask Mark about that one too and if he's comfortable adding a surprise stone. Go to Mark T collection, Leslie.

ETA: This Simon G is also similar to the solitaire Scott Kay, but also has no surprise stone.
