Help with Round Cut Diamond for Engagement Ring

Hey everyone! I went diamond shopping today and I took a look at a 0.87 carat diamond for an engagement ring. It received a 1.1 HCA score.

Can someone take a look at the GIA report and the HCA score to back me up on the decision? It looked great in the store but I wanted to be sure.

I am not a fan of a diamond with that large a table and that shallow depth. It will face up in size larger than usual but will be more of a white light stone versus a fiery stone. I prefer a stone with more of a balance. Also, this will have more of a flat top profile, also something I’m definitely not a fan of.

I agree, this type of diamond is not my favorite, although it appears to have good proportions for a 60/60.

All diamonds will look great in a jewelry store. You want a diamond that will perform well under many different lighting conditions.

I think I'd skip that one - I don't think it'll be terribly satisfying in person

Are you tied to James Allen? If so, this might be an option.
