Update- My bf proposed formally yesterday!
Update since the last post here..... I gave my bf all my inspiration ideas and told him to do as he may with jeweler of choice.
I wanted it to be a surprise and wanted him to make final decision... I guess I decided to let go of my indecision..so here is my ring... She looks huge! Like a queen and crown! I'm still absorbing her but I love her presence. I keep thinking is she too big ?! But that's crazy right?! looks ginormous when I'm looking in the mirror... Like I don't see many like this Big?!The halo is subtle making it look like a 2 +when looking from top I can barely see halo and looks like a solitaire... Love this! I love the pear shape sides too... I was hoping for more cushion shaped and setting it lower so its not so high... Thoughts?! I love it though ?! I look at it and its gorgeous... I am kind of shy but it seems like it hollers?! Am I crazy? Will I get uses to it? My bf loves it... Says whatever I want to do is good... Or change... But am thinking I really love it except setting it lower so girdle and halo are level? What do you think?

I think he's done a great job - it's a really ornate setting, with lots of vintage-style details - AND it looks huge on your slim fingers! I'd be thrilled if it were mine

Thank you CaratLover2 and AprilBaby ! It is very ornate! When I got it it was like a hit in the head I said in my head----that's not simple!?? But as I put it on and have been observing it al day it is just right in terms of size and ornateness---- real weird.... I didn't think I would like it looking at it up close like this with all those details etc, but when I put it on and see it in the mirror and just look at it from the top and sides it just blends together....It looks like a huge ass solitaire---everyone thinks it's a 2 carat ring and keep saying it looks beautiful like a crown....when I ooh at the pix it is something I would not be too into though...really strange...but i do love it!....I may ask to reshape the halo to surround the antique cushion and lower the diamond to be more "set in" like at level..but it looks so beautiful...in a vintage way....He really did good...he says it looks beautiful...but whatever I want is okay...he just wants me to be happy with it....I think he did fantastic! I feel bad changing anything though..
