Hello, I am a new user to this site and have found the information and resources on this forum remarkable for a first time stone purchase.

Could you please provide input on these two stones:

Option 1:
http://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/H-SI2-Ideal-Cut-Round-Diamond-1176616.asp

AGS Certificate
Carat: 1.047
Cut: Ideal AGS0
Color: H
Clarity: Si2
Symmetry: Ideal (from JA site, not displayed on AGS Cert - should i be concerned?)
Polish: Ideal (from JA site, not displayed on AGS Cert - should i be concerned?)
Depth: 61.4%
Table: 54.0%
Crown: 34.6 degrees
Pavilion: 40.7 degrees
HCA = 1.1 Ex-Ex-Ex-Vg (Li-Fi-Sc-Spr)
Dimensions: 6.54*6.59*4.02mm
Pricescope Discount Price: $4320

Comments: The magnified image function in the James Allan website combined with the AGS cert inclusion diagram, I feel relatively comfortable that the stone should be "eyeclean". Also, in the image function, the stone appears have a yellowish color. Is the stone eyeclean? H Color?

Option 2:
http://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/G-SI2-Ideal-Cut-Round-Diamond-1162070.asp
GIA Certificate
Carat: 1.01
Cut: GIA Excellent
Color: G
Clarity: Si2
Symmetry: Excellent
Polish: Excellent
Depth: 60.7%
Table: 57.0%
Crown: 34.5 degrees
Pavilion: 40.8 degrees
HCA = 1.3 Ex-Ex-Ex-Vg (Li-Fi-Sc-Spr)
Dimensions: 6.47*6.52*3.94mm
Pricescope Discount Price: $4360

Comments: The color in the image function appears to be whiter than the previous H color stone. Thoughts on the inclusions, would the stone be eyeclean? Tough to tell.

Which stone is recommended? I have not asked for idealscopes on either of these two stones yet?

Other stone recommendations around this price range that have excellent cut characteristics and are above 1 carat in size would also be appreciated.

Much Thanks.
Isaac.

Hard choice, both are good but i think i would have to go with H SI2 because it has a bigger spread and i think it may be cleaner than the G...and i like the smaller table on the H too

No concerns. The AGS Ideal cut grade means that polish & symmetry were graded ideal by AGS. (the grading report scan does not include the flap showing this).

Ask about the feathers at the girdle at 12, 3 and 8 o'clock.

Another feather to ask about.

Color in these images means nothing. Camera settings, lighting weaker or stronger one day to the next, even the color of shirt the photographer is wearing can influence what you see.

There is also no way to determine eye-clean from a photo. Lighting, distance & differences in human vision create variables. Interface with someone you trust and explain precisely what your expectations are.

Ok great. Thanks for the input. Will ask James Allan.
Cheers
Isaac

Also, do all GIA and AGS certed stones have the certifcate number laser inscribed into the girdle?
