Hello, I need help with diamond assessment.

I recently purchased a stone with H&A inscription on the girdle. It is currently being set on the ring. After receiving photo from the setting team I am uncertain whether it is truly a H&A stone. I am worried it might appear not as bright when viewed from top position.

Stone specs: 1.04ct 3X D IF
Holloway advisor cut score 0.9
Stonealgo score 9.2

Do you have a link to a video or an up-close picture? The numbers look good but that pic doesn't look
great. Could be tilted in the pic though.

posted the video...just awaiting moderator reply

here is a screenshot from the video but i believe the camera angle is off again...

Is this a lab diamond? If so,the h&a designation doesn't mean it's necessarily a good cut, unfortunately

Yes a lab diamond.

Holloway cut advisor score 0.9
StoneAlgo score 9.2

So the cut should be good. however due to shallow pavilion angle 40.7 and crown angle being 34.4 I am concerned about top view.

What do you think guys?

We have a Lab forum...this thread needs to be moved here:

That second picture you posted looks pretty decent but unless you have an image of the H&A view I would take
that with a grain of salt.

Pavilion you posted on the image above is 40.8.

Yes here is the video...

Looks great in the video - nice cut precision and the proportions fall within true AGS ideal ranges.
What do you think of the diamond in your real-world viewing environments?

I know right, thats why I bought it cause it falls within AGS ideal range. But then they sent me that photo they took and I was starting to think I need to find another stone.

The engagement ring has not yet been shipped to me. I will receive it in the coming weeks so I'm not sure but hopefully the stone will perform as one should expect of AGS ideal 0.

I think it's going to be just fine...the jeweler was likely causing obstruction by holding a black camera/phone pretty close to the diamond when that photo was taken, causing the appearance of all those dark spots.

Thanks for the reassurance @DejaWiz.

I'm from Europe, purchased this stone from 77diamonds. Do you have any experience with them?

Glad to hear that you were able to scoop that one up!
I have not had direct experience with 77Diamonds, but we have had a good share of our fellow members in Europe purchase from them and been pleased with the service.
...I have not read/heard anything negative about them.
Please let us know how your experience fares and what you think of the diamond once you get it delivered!

So far they've been really helpful and supportive, even when I inquired about stone change options they really handled it properly.

Will post some pics here once I get the ring

Thanks again

Hey,

finally got the ring. Keep in mind that I'm not good at photography :)

What do you think of the stone @DejaWiz ?

Thank you @DejaWiz :)

I now want to check if it's indeed a H&A :D

Do you know of any method to check even if the stone is already set?

Edit: will try the toilet paper roll method and post some pics...
