Help with this Oval Diamond

Hello everyone,
I am looking for an oval diamond, I actually went to a jeweler in the diamond district and picked one out. The diamond is a 1.7 oval. In total for the entire ring, we are paying just under $15,700. I am not sure if we got a good deal. The ring setting is 14K white gold, hidden halo and 3/4 pave band (1.8 mm). I have attached the GIA cert and some pictures (not the best). We put a deposit down, but I can't stop thinking about whether we paid too much for what it is. Can I get your opinions?

I was looking for an oval without bow tie, little to no warmth, and eye clean. I would like something within 1.7-2 carat range. This diamond has a bow-tie and has some dark tips but the jeweler told me that I would have to accept that to some degree if I wanted an oval.

To address the cost issue, I dont think the price is out of line...here is what a G/VS2/1.7 oval at JA would cost

Overall, I think it is a decent stone with a decent deal.
If you like the setting, it is a reasonable purchase.
