Help with Tiffany Platinum Diamond Cross

Hey Everyone. This is my first post so if it is in the wrong place I apologize. I bought the Tiffany small diamond cross in platinum pre-loved from a trusted source. When I received it I see that at the top portion of the cross where the chain threads through it there are three little grooves. I don't know if they are supposed to be there to help the cross stay centered or if it is wear from the chain rubbing as it moves. I have attached a picture and would appreciate any help with this as I can return it. Thanks in advance!

While I not longer have my Tiffany diamond cross--I do recall that it stayed stationary. I think @diamondseeker2006 still has hers, maybe she can comment on what you are seeing.

Mine has something like that, too! I had never looked at it with a loupe, so I had no idea until I saw it. It must be how it's made. I can't ever recall thinking the chain was caught on that part. So I guess it's ok!

Thanks! I did a chat with Tiffany and sent them a picture. The lady said she thought it was made like that to keep the cross from sliding around. So since your is too I guess it was! I may return mine though because the spring ring clasp is loose where you pull the little trigger.
