I reached out to IDJ, gave them my parameters (sent them the Pricescope ideal proportions), but I am not really happy with the first set of choices they got back to me with. For example, this stone was suggested as part of a pair, but I don't think it will cut it (mediocre HCA score and doesn't actually fit the ideal proportions): GIA 2427999090
And, in any case, they were going to be way over budget, so we need to do some adjusting.
She wanted 2 carats total weight round brilliant earth-mined. She wanted G-I color (G would be the best but will go down to I) and we are ok with SI 1-2, and some fluorescence. Ideal cut. She would rather go down in size than down in any other specs. Budget for just the stones is $6,000. Therefore, based on what I was seeing, I am searching for approximately 1.8 carats total weight for the pair, to keep the specs and keep in budget.
I am still interested in working with IDJ, because I would rather get ASET/Idealscope images prior to buying, rather than getting the stones and doing them myself. I would be open to that if this were a purchase for me, but I don't want to risk all the back and forth on someone else's behalf.
I tried my own search, but I don't know all the tricks for doing this quickly. What about these?
