I just wanted to thank Jonathan at Good Old Gold for helping me choose this beautiful diamond for my girlfriend. I proposed during Easter and had an “Easter Theme” to the proposal. Anyway, she said yes! Everyone is stunned at how beautiful the diamond is……everyone wants a second and third look at it once they see it!

Thanks also to Chris at Dave Atlas and Co. for the appraisal. He did a great job as well!

I really love that setting..can't go wrong with more diamonds. Do you have specs for those side diamonds? Did GOG also help you find those stones, or did the setting come with them?

The side diamonds came with the setting. We were very lucky...they are of very good quality for sides...they are a total of approx .90 ct, G and VS range. The appraiser labeled them as "very well cut". The setting was not purchased through GOG...we both fell in love with this setting when we saw it in a local jewelry store.

Thanks for the comments!

COngratulations on your Engagement!
The ring is fantastic! I like the solidness of the setting. And the larger sidestones - very modern but classic!

Many congratulations. That setting and the stones are beautiful. It is unique and very classy.

Thanks Linda...here is the story...

well, since we couldn't be together for easter, we decided to go out for easter dinner thursday night....we went to a very nice restaurant, had a great dinner, and then went back to her place.....I had her go on an easter egg treasure hunt....i had plastic eggs hidden around the house, but she had to use clues from inside the eggs to find the next egg......the clues were written in invisible ink so she had to use a special marker to see the writing
:-)....anyway, the eggs led her to an easter basket hidden in her hope chest that was filled with chocolate, flowers, champagne and glasses, and a silk bunny bag that had candy in it.....the bottom of the bunny bag had the ring box inside....so she found the basket and read the card that was included...it said to look in the bunny bag....so i helped her out with this part and pulled out the box....she just looked at it for a minute and wasn’t sure what to say....she told me afterward that she was trying to convince herself that it was earrings or a necklace, so that she wouldn't be disappointed if it wasn’t a ring....anyway, i opened the box, said some mushy stuff, and asked her :-) she was stunned for a few seconds, but then said yes!! :-D

Hi Jason,

Thanks for posting your wonderful proposal story!

I love the intriguing and imaginative Easter egg hunt idea - and with invisible ink clues requiring a decoder pen no less! Cool. How lovely of her to try and keep herself together by not trying to think of your gift as a ring. I can just imagine how heartwarmed and overjoyed she must have been when she opened the box to that blinder of several stones and heard your touching words.

Jason, lovely ring. It is a real dazzler, but your story outshines it. What a sweet way to propose. I'm loving this whole thread. Congrats and best wishes.

I am trying to determine the manufacturer of my ring. There is a trademark stamped on the band. It is very small, but it looks like a circle with a triangle inside and a "w" above the triangle.....any ideas?

Nice Ring Razzle.Looks like a wedding band will fit flush nicely against this engagement ring..Great Job on the diamond
