His Proposal Style

So, what kind of proposal are you expecting? As sweet as my boyfriend is to me, he is not a planner and comes up with gift ideas and plans for special occasions at the very last minute. On the other hand, he also has a bit of a romantic side and does cute things like leaving me little notes where he knows I''ll find them or calling me at work and telling me to look out my window as he drives by my building. So, it really is a toss-up whether he''ll plan a surprise proposal, or it will be more casual. It doesn''t really matter to me, but I would love for it to at least be thought out and meaningful.

What about you? Do you have any indication of what kind of proposal you''ll get when it happens?

I''m sure it''ll be private, but beyond that, I have no idea. I hope it''s something super low-key, I don''t want a big hoopla made out of it.

I would L.O.V.E. a still-in-bed in the morning proposal of some sort ..

I don''t know what to expect when it comes to Mr. H proposing. I know it''ll be intimate, as he''s told me before that he wants it to be special between only the 2 of us, but apart from that, I''m at a loss.. he''s not much of an organizer, nor is he romantic, but I''m hoping he''ll put some thought into it.

My guy is a planner and likes public displays of affection and is very romantic and thoughtful, he''ll probably do somnthing reletivly public and big.

He can do it how he likes but I''d rather it be atleast semi-private.

I think about this a lot...cause I have no idea. I fantasise about it (naturally) but I just can''t imagine what he''ll actually be like. He''s not in the least romantic so I''m thinking he''d have to get help from someone so it might depend on whom he asks! The ''where we first met'' option doesn''t work, it was on a uni bus, the ''first kiss'' option wouldn''t work cause it was at a train station. At least...I think that...oh god, what if he does it there?!

I''m just joshing...he''ll come up trumps like he always does, and think of somewhere perfect, and a way to do it that exceeds anything I could dream of. And in the end, as much as it''s not what I''ve thought of my whole life, if it was at that scummy train station, I''d love it, cause it''s the question he''s asking me that matters!

As an offshoot...how do you all daydream about it happening?

In mine, it''s New Year, and we''re where we were (wow check out that grammar) for our first New Year together. We were alone halfway up this road that overlooks the whole city, and could see all these chinese lanterns floating through the sky, and everyone in the city centre counting down to midnight, and then saw ALL the fireworks for miles around. It was the absolute happiest moment of my life, I was so utterly utterly content, I even shed a happiness tear or two! That''s where I''d love it to happen, so recreate that moment in my life, and even replace it!

Well, my BF is very romantic and thoughtful, so I hope that his proposal will be as well. I think it will be a public proposal, as in one that is somewhere nice out in public, but not public as in front of a bunch of people watching. He's definitely a sunset on the lake proposal type guy instead of a Times Square at midnight on New Year's Eve type guy. I'm not sure how he'll propose, actually, but I try not to think about that too much and leave it to him to worry about.

I have to echo the ladies whose boyfriends aren''t big planners. And although he''s tremendously sweet, extravagant romantic gestures aren''t his style. I suspect that it will be something rather low-key and private, but I honestly have no idea. However he does it though will be great.

Hmm,

My BF is extrordinaraly sweet and thoughtful, and at the same time, silly and unpredictable so I''m not sure what he''ll do.
It could be something realy creative, or something super casual. He''s kinda geeky so it could be internet related.
He''s not a very public guy, so I expect that it will be private whenever it happens.
He doesn''t like flowers or gift wrapping so I''m not expecting anything ornate, and he''s not that traditional, so I don''t think it would happen at a restaurant. He''s a bit impatient, so I don''t think he''ll be much of a ring-sitter in the event that he gets one.

I''m trying not to expect any thing so when it happens (eventualy) I''ll be delighted.

It will surely be private and romantic. He isn''t the type to do something in front of a bunch of people. Now, it could be in a public place......but it would still be private.

I suspect it will be something sweet and low-key, like him. He does, however, know how important pictures are to me, so I''m hoping he does it somewhere he can slyly pass the camera off to someone for a picture and then propose while that person snaps away.

My friend''s sister got her engagement ring handed to her in a dish towel! Apparently her boyfriend had a better proposal thought out but he got so nervous he grabbed a dish towel and just handed it to her while she was watching tv! She was like "Ummmmm..."

I thought that was so cute though

Honestly, I never even thought about it. I know it will be sometime in the Spring but don''t know any details. He is very low-key and laid-back so I assume the proposal will be the same but who knows. Whatever it is, I am looking forward to it and will cherish the moment and memory.

Im not 100% sure, but i kind of think it will be something unique and us. We like to take a few vacations during the year, so its either going to be something like that, or something with music, since we are BOTH huge music fans. We both love metal, and i come from a musically talented family, its going to be something like that. Hmmmm, so many possiblities, and lots of time to think about it....

Trust me, im gonna want one too.....espically if he goes the music way! O my Goodness.....so many concerts we have planned, so many possiblities.
