Have you bought (or received) any special honeymoon lingerie?

How much lingerie (outside of regular undergarments) are you planning to bring on the honeymoon? I''m not really sure I want to fill up my suitcase with a bunch of lacy nighties and the like, but I do want to bring some fun things to wear to bed.

Are you surprising your husband-to-be with your nighttime wardrobe, or will he consult with you on it?

(P.S. Please keep answers in the PG-13 range!)

I have some really cute lingerie that I've NEVER used. Seriously, like 10 pieces that have left my closet maybe twice ever. I had planned to take a couple of them on the honeymoon but completely forgot

(didn't even cross my mind until near the end of the trip). I suppose that goes to show just how vital they were to our honeymoon fun

I don''t plan to wear much lingerie on my honeymoon

but I will throw in a few matching lacy sets, and one or two sexy nighties - he loves satin nighties, drives him wild, so I will definately get some of those.

I will dress up nice for the wedding night - neglige, stocking, suspenders, heels, the works!

I love pretty lingerie but I don''t think it is essential. However, I always wear pretty lingerie and have to have matching sets! I don''t feel properly dressed without it!

My favourite brands are (everyday) Elle MacPherson, Pleasure State and La Perla.

For special occassions I love Roberta Glass and Chantal Thomass (expensive but so worth it!)

It makes me feel sexier to wear gorgeous lingerie and lets face it, it isn''t going to take up much room in your suitcase!

I only bought one and it is amazing. It was really expensive but in my opinion so worth the money. My suitcase will only have that one in there. It doesn''t take up that much space.

SMO...I see you are back! Did you ever decide on an NYC wedding venue?

I am shooting a b-pic session in a couple of weeks and I have some lingerie that FI has bought me as well as a few cute sets that I''ve bought as well and I plan to bring at least one or two to surprise him on our wedding trip...I want to have the pics fresh in his mind when I wear the babydolls and cute panty sets for him...

I have lots of lingerie. We only have 4 days between the wedding and when I go back to work, but I''m bringing 4 different outfits. I would have probably tried to bring something new for every day, or every second day.

As for the actual wedding night, my fiance chose something he wants to see me in. So that''s what I''m wearing.

For the wedding night i''m going to do the whole nine yards but on the honeymoon I will probably just wear some satin slips and buy some new pleasure state bras.
I feel really bad now, after reading some of these responses I realised what a dag I am.. right now im sitting around in old pj pants and Aaron''s old jumper.. Hot

I have a little white thing to wear at the hotel on the wedding night, but we leave the next day for Belize and it''s going to be HOT and MUGGY!!!! I imagine it will at least be hot. I don''t plan to wear much of anything for most of the trip and definitely not at night. Oh dear, I hope I didn''t just imply that we''re going to a nudist resort or anything. I mean I plan to stick to bathing suits and sun dresses! But probably nothing at night. There''s nothing better than laying nekkid under a fan on a hot night...

To be absolutely honest, I am not one to spend (waste?) money on lingerie - it seems like such a moot point since it stays on for no more than 10 minutes MAX! I did end up buying around 5-6 pieces of lacy cami-panty sets and a few babydolls because I can probably wear them to sleep as well. I usually invest mostly in satin and sheer nighties (that come up to mid-thigh), so they double up for sexy time as well as sleep time!

I agree!!!!!!!!!! And the heat makes people more frisky anyways!!!!

I got lucky and received a lot of sexy lingerie during my bridal showers! I also had lots from before so I am gooood to go!

I had the bridal lingerie I wore under my wedding dress (which half my wedding party and their spouses also saw a good bit of because my cousin needs a helmet and lifted my train high enough to moon me to the fifteen or so people walking behind me but oh well, haha). Other than that, my bridal "lingerie" involved my usual panties and stealing my husband''s shirts. I''m a 39DDD, therefore buying bras involves spending a bit more anyway, so I usually go for the pretty ones so I spend less. I''m cheap. I have REALLY bad airport luck, so I didn''t pack anything too racy for the honeymoon--I knew airline security would wind up waving it around.

Ha, this never even crossed my mind! I am...not sexy I guess!

I''ll have to get a couple cute things now that I read this thread!

Where do you all buy your lingerie? I need to go shopping too apparently...
I never like much of what I see at Victoria''s Secret, and I don''t want to spend too much. Any suggestions?

I took only one pretty, lacey set, and it''s just as well because I don''t think DH even noticed!!

He''s very much of the opinion that there''s no point on spending alot of money on something that doesn''t stay on for long anyway

Still deciding, I didn't really have a lot of time to look (I spent too much time shopping in my free time!) I am not that bothered, we still aren't sure whether we will elope but it was great to see NYC at that time of year. So much more enjoyable that being there in winter! Thanks for asking though!

If it''s something you don''t typically do, I say why not? It''s your honeymoon!!! Your hubby might find it to be a nice surprise! Go to Frederick''s! They have items that run the spectrum from "tasteful yet romantic nighty" to "where''s the rest of it?" And most of it is reasonably priced (good sale and clearance items online). Don''t consult with your husband, just do it...it would probably be a turn-on and add to the moment =)
