My rehearsal will be very casual (probably a bbq, picnic, or pizza party type thing during the lunch hours) the day before the wedding. I don''t know how to word this thing!!

"Your presence is requested..........."
"Come join us in rehearsing.........."
"Let''s practice the ceremony.........." and it goes even MORE downhill from there lol..........

Any help? How are you going to/did you write yours? It''s casual so a "fun" opener would be nice!

Thank you!!!

i''d be curious about this as well..sorry i''m not too helpful

I could be wrong about this. I pretty much want to make sure my OOT bridal party knows they should try to get here the day before so that's my main concern. I will note on this invite that there is a picnic/bbq/pizza party/whatever to follow.

My case may be different in that I am only having the wedding party and thier guests (about 30 people it has grown to!!!) and it is not formal at all? Oh, and the actual rehearsal is at 10 in the AM!!! (only time I could have it)

ETA: My rehearsal "dinner" is going to be a lunch instead, too, so that may effect things.
ETA2: The night before our wedding, I'm letting everyone who'll be in town know that the bridal party is hanging out at xyz restarurant/bar and they're welcome to stop by and say 'hi' :) That way, we get to see them, they get to hang out with us, and I'm pretty sure that means I won't have to pay for another meal (sorry!!). I'm hoping everyone will just hang out and maybe have a drink or two.

Oh, no worries! I didn''t even budget for this additional wedding event so my guests will be lucky if they get an email invite

I found this example online:

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Meyers
(name of the groom's parents or whomever is hosting the dinner) request the pleasure of your company

at the rehearsal dinner in honor of
Allison and Henry's wedding.

Dinner will be held
at 8 o'clock p.m.
on Friday, April 30
at Piatti's,
602 Irving Avenue,
Portland, Oregon.

It will immediately follow
the wedding rehearsal,
to be held at St. Paul's Church,
1123 Fort Wayne Avenue
Portland, Oregon.

ETA: here's a site I found w/examples of some wording: http://www.mygatsby.com/wordwiz_verse.jsp?scenarioId=44&productBeingCustomized=0

Here''s one of the samples that my MIL sent from the designer she was working with for our RD invites. It''s the least formal of the ones she sent over, so I thought it would be good for your situation.

Hi musey,

I''m probably chiming in way late on this on but I''m just getting home. The RD is usually hosted/given by the groom''s parents, and typically, they are responsible for organizing it (and sending out invitations). When my cousin got married a few months ago, his dad sent out invitations to OOT family and the bridal party.
