Hi
So a 3mm diamond popped out of my halo ring and I want to mail it to the jeweler for repair . Any suggestions on how to keep the little one from getting lost ? maybe tape it to the ring box ?

Do you have any of those small but sturdy mini ziploc bags? Then tape the bag to the ring box.

Thanks ! but where do l get these bags ?

OK , Thanks !

Do you want a gem jar? I apparently hoard them despite owning no loose gems… I can pop one in the mail for you.

Be sure to write "LOOSE DIAMONDS" on the outside of the package so they know to open carefully ;)2

Never indicate the contents of a shipment, especially when it has value..... That's making the decision what to steal way too easy. You can just scotch tape the diamond to the ring box or to the ring itself. It should stick well and not fall off.

I would tape it to a piece of cardboard, culet side pressed into the cardboard. And sandwich it between 2 pieces of cardboard.

Edit: if you’re mailing it with the ring box, you can fold a small piece of paper into an envelope for the stone.

If the baggie is small and the ring box is large enough, fold it in half/quarters and include it inside the ring box itself with the ring.

Unfortunately USPS prints declared value right on the label so it’s impossible to avoid advertising the fact that the contents are expensive!!

I ship Registered for anything truly valuable - if I can’t get a FedEx label from a vendor.
