I''m getting nervous. It''s been really hard for me to get out to see my first choice in BM dresses. I have no car right now, living in the city, and unfortunately, no DC bridal shop carries my dress --

I''m done to 4 months until the date of the wedding. have i pushed it too far...

it''s funny that so far - the BM dresses have been the most stressful thing about this wedding?!?

Who is the designer? Four months is cutting it close. Depending on where you order from, they may make you pay a rush fee. I will say this though. Netbride quoted me almost 4 full months on both my bm dresses and fg dresses and both came in less than two.. (closer to 1.5 months). HOWEVER. I also ordered early before full on "bridal season" started.

the designer is bari jay and the style number is #284. i was thinking of using netbride because they had the cheapest quote, but if they say they won''t come in until 4 months that won''t work even though they could come in earlier...

The place I ordered my Bari Jay dresses from (www.perfectbridal.com) quoted me 12 weeks for the dresses to arrive. Supposedly they often get dresses in earlier than the estimated date.

However, my sister said she went to a regular bridal shop and they told her that Bari Jay dresses can take up to 16 weeks.
I would say that if you really like the dress, you should maybe consider ordering it without having seen it in person. You don''t have much time! You could try having the dresses rush ordered, though.

hmm. how much more expensive is rush ordering? and why ever does it take 4 months to make a halter dress.

Netbride also quoted me 4 months on our Watters BM dresses and I received them in less than 2. I would at least give them a shot - fill out the order form & add rush charges/instructions. Nicole will find out the earliest possible guaranteed delivery date - then if that date is not sufficient, then they will cancel the order & your credit card will never be charged. Seriously, I would do that today & then at least you know what your dealing with or if you need to come up with an alternative plan. I cannot say enough good things about Netbride because they were just so incredibly responsive and helpful - questions were answered immediately & my phone calls were always returned promptly.

i''ve had a great experience so far with net bride, but if i rush the dresses it''ll be $40 PER DRESS and that is really getting to be too expensive. plus, to pay all that money and then still have the worry that they might not make it in time. i think i''m going to explore some other options.

it''s not the end of the world. who knows maybe by now there''s a dress i like even better...

I would not want to stress about that either - although, if they don''t make it by the guaranteed delivery date, you would be refunded your money. I never saw the BM dresses either - picked ''em out off the Watters website & thankfully, they are beautiful!
