Are you able to measure how many mm's it is? That won't help with how deep it is, though, but it might help to determine how big it looks. Does that make sense? It looks similar to what my MIL's solitaire looks like on my finger (also 5.5), and hers is .75'ish.

I''d say b/n .50 and .75.
Looks very similar to my mom''s 0.52 but her finger is larger.

A .75 is around 5.8mm. If you have a ruler, you could tell if it was just under 6mm.
