How long does it take....

to get your pro pics? I am starting to get annoyed. On the day of my wedding (Aug 12) they said it would be 4 weeks. Then they changed it to 6 weeks. Now, who knows! I e-mailed her today to check on the progress and she said they are still working on some weddings that were before ours and she will let me know when they are finished.

They take DIGITAL photos. I know they take over 1,000 but how long does it take to edit them down? Am I being unrealistic? How long do I wait before I really put the pressure on? I obviously don''t want to piss them off and have to wait even longer.

My FSIL does wedding photography as a hobby and it can take anywhere from 4 to 12 weeks depending how much editing that they have to do. I know it sucks, but just think that if they have wedding photos from others before you, how pissed they have to be....

Okay, I just got married on 9/22 and I am impatient! 4-12 weeks?! I can''t wait to see my pictures. I anxiously check my email about 100 times a day. I was thinking like 2 weeks!

I think there''s a really wide range. We got ours by Labor Day, but I have friends who didn''t get their wedding photos back for a long time, like more than 6 months later.

I hope you get yours back soon - I''d love to see them!

Umm, what!!!! Mine had better not take a fraction of that time!

ok, you''ll probably hate me, but i had all of my proofs and CDs with all of the non-copyrighted images in my hands 10 days after the wedding. i know i''m incredibly lucky. we''re definitely on the much shorter end of the spectrum. did you discuss the timeline with him/her before the wedding? i think you have every right to be upset. they should at least be upfront with you about their timeline.

Honestly I wouldn''t be so pissed if they hadn''t mislead me. Why tell me 4 weeks, then 6 weeks, if they didn''t mean it? I work in a similar field and I could NEVER get away with missing a deadline (twice in their case!). She didn''t even bother giving me a date this time

I know they are busy but there is two of them and I am guessing mon-thurs all they do is edit and meet with new clients....argggg! Our video is suppose to be in the mail too. We''ll see about that!

Every photographer is different. There are some brides that have their proofs the next day!! My photographer likes to go through and do some retouching and stuff. I just looked it up.. our wedding was May 27th, we got our CD on June 11th.. so only about 2 weeks (it sure seemed longer than that when I was waiting.. before I looked it up I was going to tell you I waited 4 or 5 weeks.. lol)..
BUT.. I sent him my list of pictures for our album and he''s supposed to lay them out and have us go over the layout before he gets the book printed (I think he sends it out to be printed).. and I''ve been waiting almost 2 months now.

It will be two months on Sunday, so I am going to email him when its been two months and ask him what is up..

My photog was popular. I think it was nearly a month before we got proofs. Much longer for the actual photos. Even longer for the albums. And yes, these were digital too, with minimal to no touchups I think (on the 4x6s anyways).

Well it has been almost 8 weeks

They did send about 5 pictures (after much begging) for our thank yous but we have yet to see any real proofs. Like I said I understand they are busy but this is their job (and company). I really hope they ARE worth the wait otherwise....
