For any of you girls out there who knew he had the ring already... how long did it take for him to actually give it to you? I know my SO bought it already and I can''t imagine Tiffany''s takes longer than a month to size it and such so I''m just curious about when I get to finally see it. The only "big" date coming up is my b-day at the end of October but I think he knows how I feel about proposals on "big" dates. He also knows I love the Christmas season: I really hope he doesn''t wait that long. I just want to wear it already!!!
 
First off, YAY! The fact that he has the ring or is going to be picking it up from Tiffany''s soon is great news! I know the wait can be KILLER! But I''m sure it will happen soon!

Now to answer your question, FI had the ring in the house (AND I KNEW ABOUT IT, I EVEN SAW IT AND TRIED IT ON!

Also, I think it was Blondebunny who is also expecting a ring from Tiffany''s and had a bad experience getting it sized and actually getting it back in a timely manner. Hopefully it won''t take that long for them to size your ring though.

it took ONE WEEK... it was total torture but in retrospect.. only one week!!!! good luck!
 
My wait is so far already longer than yours ladies. He bought it the last Sunday of July

My BF bought my ring on July 19th. It had to be set and sized, but that was done by August 1st. Still waiting. My gut feeling is I''ll be waiting until either our 5 year anniversary (October 19th) or he''ll incorporate it into our Christmas tree decorating somehow. Either way- I''ve got a while yet to wait.
 
SO got the ring in mid July. I am not expecting it anytime soon at all, though my b-day is in a few days, and our 5th anni is next month. I think an anni proposal would be perfect, but I am not expecting anything before the end of the year, honestly. He doesn't know that I know he has it, so he can put it off indefinitely!

My FI held onto it for two weeks, however I did not know he had it. He did say that it was so hard to hold to it for that long, so hopefully it will be soon. But I have heard of some guys holding onto the ring for as long as 5 months. Besides, Christmas is only 4 months away, and if he did wait that long, I''m sure it would be worth it.
 
We put in the custom order in late January, he got it in his hands at the very beginning of March, and I finally got it in mid-April. Unfortunately for me, though, he wouldn''t even let me see it before he proposed.
 
My SO received the ring on June 26th and I'm still waiting... He won't let me see the ring until he proposes (but I was able to see the WF pics

) He promised it'll be before the end of the year, but knowing him he will probably wait until NYE

i know it must be really hard to wait, but you should try to enjoy your last days as a LIW!! go out with your friends and just enjoy being a single gal!! it''s coming up close!!
 
my pretty ering is being held hostage in our safe... he bought it on july 20th..but stupid people didnt tell us it was in...so i think we picked it up around like aug 5th or so?? I think it will be in there till the end of december....
 
We bought mine in June. It was finished in July. But, I still don''t have it. I am thinking it''s coming in September when we go to Europe (I mean, how could he pass on that opportunity), but our agreement was he could have up to a year. Gosh, I hope it isn''t that long. . .

that sux. i fear ill be playing the waiting game like you at some point (as if im not already waiting and waiting and...). Be happy he has it and look forward to the surprise though - maybe he''s trying to throw you off the trail?

We had a hard time finding a setting we both loved and finally (this week!) decided on getting a Beaudry setting slightly customized to fit a larger diamond. He''s going to choose the diamond after Labor Day and then Beaudry has to actually make the ring to fit the diamond. I think it''s better that I know it''s going to be at least 7 weeks before my FF even has the ring so I don''t start getting impatient yet. I''m prediciting he''ll do it before our cruise, which is in 3.5 months. Ahhhhh, the wait!!!
 
My ring is finished TODAY!!!!!!! He hasn''t picked it up yet and I don''t think he will for a while. I believe he is going to propose in early to mid December! He kept asking when I graduate and when my exhibition is (Dec 3) This got me suss!!!!!!
So that will be 3.5+ months!! I can''t wait that long!! Honestly!!!!
 
mine was about two weeks... he thought he was being soo stealthy about it all, but I knew exactly when it was going to grace my hand. My hubby is terrible at secrets!
 
Well, The ring has been in his possession/at our home since about April 8th. I still don''t have it...going on 4 months 15 days. :sigh: However, I have gotten somewhat more patient over time.

I didn''t know but FI had it for 2 weeks...or rather I think he waited for 2 weeks to get it after it was done...thankfully I didn''t know it because I would have been out of my mind!!

It''s become such a project. THEN It''s a matter of when he wants to pop the Q. My birthday is mid-sept. I could only hope it''ll be then. Otherwise Christmas??

I''m kind of regretting being a part of the whole process. I''m way stressed out!!
 
Hi girls! THanks for all your comments. So he just picked it up from Tiffany''s on 8/17 sized and everything (don''t know how he got my ring size). Hmmm
 
Tomorrow will be 2 weeks since he''s had it in his possession. And it took 3 weeks to get the setting made and recieve the ring.

I have NO idea if there''s an end to this madness in sight!

I''m not allowed to see it before he proposes either Star Sparkly, I just have to hope the first sight of it will all be worth it!

Well, I''m glad I''m not the only one waiting! The ring was purchased on 7/4 and received 7/28 ... and he still has it. I''m going crazy waiting, literally! I too regret knowing anything about it. Hopefully soon!!

I have a feeling when my bf gets my ring he''ll give it to me fairly quickly. However, he''s taken the slow road to picking out the diamond. We chose the setting a few weeks ago, but he keeps rescheduling his appt to choose the diamond. Ack!!! It''s driving me nuts.
 
Yes it is mean! I want to yell it from the rooftops and his is so relaxed and casual about the entire thing. So frustrating! I''m ready for the next step in our relationship and he is taking his good old time. But, he does have the ring so I guess I can''t complain too much.

I think the guys might do it so that it can be a ''suprise'' proposal.. I think that is important to alot of men, even if the woman is involved in picking out the ring
