Based on sleuthing online, this is Vanessa Bryant's ring with Kobe Bryant -- reported to be an 8 carat purple diamond. The ring was, reportedly, a $4 million, a reconciliation gift.

Oh you're absolutely right LOL it is hers! and you probably are right I just cant find a close up enough photo of the 8ct violet apology diamond in the media to confirm that's the same one lol..that one is clearly an rb and the distance shot looks like a cushion.
