I am just wondering how many times a day you knock your diamond. I know I probably knock rings and am not aware of it. I have noticed people in the office I work sometimes knock their rings but never stop and look at them, so I wonder if they even notice they are doing it.

Would you say you do this everyday or once a week, fortnight or what?

I think it is something that we are not aware of as when I get used to wearing a ring I sometimes forget that it is on.

When I first wore my ring I noticed I knocked it quite a bit since it has a higher head. But after the first week I now notice I accommodate for it and don''t knock it nearly as much. I have had it for two months now and probably only knock it maybe once a week, if that.

A lot, because I spend a lot of my day inspecting with the loupe after it. If it''s off my desk, lightly, I might not inspect as hard or as long, but I still inspect every time.

All the time, it sits up high. I get real freaked out, stop at and stare at it from all angles, making sure nothing is cracked, dented, etc. Then I pull out the loupe later and look at it again. I also cringe everytime it happens, my hubby thinks I''m insane the way I obsess over it!

Very rarely that I know of and my stone sits up pretty high.

However, I can tell you about the time some guy slammed a door on my hand before
orchestra practice and my 2.05 D-VS2 Oval I had at the time FELL TO THE FLOOR.
Sitting through rehearsal with a diamond in your pants pocket is no fun.

After
that incident, no more 4 prong mountings for me. I always set with 6 prongs now
(e-ring and RHR are both 6 prongs).

Ah, I knock my ring around a lot and thus far it''s been fine. Knock on wood.

lol ooops, I''ve had two really strong drinks. bad time to be typing online. lol!
