Hahahahaha!

This almost sounds like the question men answer in Cosmo...
about how many times per hour they think about ___.

I look at least 3 times per hour...

Gazing times may vary.

Also -- how do you avoid getting caught doing it? LOL.

Currently I can't look at it/them (e-ring and bands) because my bf hid them somewhere. We are still in search of a center stone. Now I'm guessing if he is planning to surprise me it when he completes the e-ring.

I'm sure when I finally get to wear it I would be looking at it ALL DAY!

The question is... how can you NOT??!!

Good post! I am completely obsessed with looking at my ring, and figuring out my favorite types of lighting. Grocery shopping has become fun again because I can stare at my very sparkly ring under those lights while I push the cart! My jeweler also recommended Home Depot's lighting for a sparkly show (maybe I can learn to like that place after all...). I really love looking at it in the forest though. My only rule is not to look at it while I'm driving...at stoplights, however, it's fair game much to the chagrin of the people behind me when I don't realize the light turned green!

I think St. Louis Bread Company (panera elsewhere) has some fabulous lighting. Sunlight is one of my favorites. As is the lighting at my hairsalon.

Its safe to say I stare at it every 2 seconds.

And most of those seconds are with a loupe. CONSTANTLY checking with the loupe.

I like church, as bad as that sounds. The lighting is perfect, but I do not hear as much as I should.

Oh boy...how could I possibly calculate that?

I look at it many many many many times per hour! Sometimes, if the light is right (not direct sunlight, but filtered sunlight coming through the trees as I walk down the street), it throws off these dazzling multicolored shots of light that hypnotize me! I was in temple last week for Rosh Hashana and the light in there was fantastic! However, my ring is puny compared with some of those on the ladies at this synagogue on 5th Avenue. I've seen some amazing stones there - there are a lot of older "ladies who lunch" wearing Chanel and sporting giant rocks which are probably family heirlooms worth millions! Sigh...

I have developed iguana-like qualities... I can now almost keep one eye constantly on my ring and the other on whatever I'm trying half-a$$edly to do.

I keep trying to find excuses to make the hour-long drive to the nearest Macaroni Grill, because that lighting is still unrivaled for making crazy rainbows happen.

Oh, i'd say i gaze at it at least 10 minutes of everyhour while I am at work.. just getting lost in its shinny-ness. And when the sun comes thru my cubes window at around 3:30.. I spend a few mintues just tossing rainbows on the wall behind me. Too much fun, and espcially enjoyable while on conference calls.

BTW, Q, I was at the mall last week out in the suburbs and there was a Macaroni Grill there, and remember all the talk about it on here, I slunk in and said, um, could I see a menu, and where is the bathroom.. WOW, the lights in there are awesome. I was so mesmerized I actually did order an appetizer to go so I could loiter for a while longer. Have you taken your 8* in there yet.. my 8* did amazing things in there even more so that I'd anticiapted and my pendant (which I took off just to look at in the light was more radiant that I have ever personally seen it.) I am so hiring that lighting technican to do the lights in my future house. LOL.

LOL!!! See??? I TOLD ya they are something else. Yep, I'm going to see how to redesign our home lighting too!!!

hahaha...waaaayy too much....and that doesnt even count the time i look at this forum! hahaha...glad im not the only one.

I am so glad I'm not the only one!

Halogen lights are the best -- they really blind me when I'm under those babies! I can't help staring at my sparkly. I wish I could stare at others' rings but I'm too timid.

Hi,

I look at my ring all the time. My favorite place is in my car. When the sun is shining on my hand, it throws all these rainbows all over the inside and on the window. We have incredible clear days in northern Michigan. There is no smog to speak of and sometimes I even get blinded by a flash which happened today as a matter of fact. It actually hurt and I had after images for a long time in my vision.

I drive A LOT in my work going from school to school, so my ring flashing in the sun provides a fair amount of entertainment. I'm pathetic.

I love to look at my diamond on the airplane, if I'm seated by the window and the sun is coming in. It throws colors every where. I entertained the person seated next to me one time as I moved my ring around and the prisms of color were all over the place. Cheap entertainment on the long flights!

I probably look at my ring 3-5 times an hour on average. In the car, up to 10 times per hour. In restaurants, which tend to make it explode, I look at it constantly, unless we're with another couple.

I really get a lot of joy from having my new diamond.

1 - beautiful new e-ring
