Just a bit of fun to finish off the year. Bron the eBay addict had made a final push for 2019 and this is one of 3 results.
now, this one is a 925 silver bangle 37 grams, set (open backs) with various semi precious gems. I’d say Onyx, Carnelian, Mother of Pearl, Turquoise, agate and Lapis. Also set into the bangle are marcasites. None missing. Described as “hand made bangle”.yep, just that.
so, what would you say is a fair price to pay?32AFDD69-513E-4AEC-AC48-6A6C54F08B63.jpegF5F1C1E3-82C3-4437-B843-4BD75D2C7F8E.jpeg

Hrm... I think $100.

Is this like The Price is Right where whoever guesses without going over wins a prize??

I'm going with $75 but something tells me you paid some crazy low price for it.

Might have to be the bangle is the prize, it’s a tad too snug for my large wrists!

Oooh I love the Price is Right! I would say $40-50 (I’ve seen stuff like this selling at local antique fairs; it’s a shame they are priced so low—considering the raw materials and all the work that goes into it! Although at an actual antique shop I would say a fair asking price is more like $100).

Sorry not close.
The seller had a “white stone” bangle for $35 AUD starting bid, which I won for $35. I saw that there was also this bangle about to end with no bids for $10 AUD so that’s what I paid seeing as I was already paying $8 for shipping.
so About $7 US

Wow, great buy as always @Bron357!!!!

Ps I actually love the contrast of this intricate bangle next to the smooth white stone bangle. Somehow they go well together!!

If the lady who hand-made the piece would actually get $100, it would be beautiful, but chances are she slaved for 50cents a full day in a dark room and 50 cents. If only we, as buyer, could insist to split and give the ebayler $75 and the maker $25 the world would be in a better balanace.

I don’t disagree, it is terrible that the person who made this bangle was probably paid only a paltry sum but sadly I can’t change that. The best I can do is love it wear it and greatly value the effort that has gone into it.

Who can force change if not buyer(s)? Not you, not today, not me, not tomorrow, but together, say, over the next decade(s)? At least a beginning? There are people working on such 'dreams'. Afteral, the crazy who claimed that Africans should get paid for work got laughed out of his trade-guilde, and anyways, what could one person do? A lot, it turned out, even if it took a while, but it worked.
