Hi Folks...

So the deed is done, my Fiancee has her ring, and we purchased her wedding band as well. All is well with her...on to me...

So we have a set of Blue Nile Ring Sizers at home, and I'm looking to purchase my wedding band online...
Probably going for Tunsgten with some Inlay...so its not resizable (yes the place we will buy it can be exchanged); It will be a 8mm Comfort Fit ring.

So in front of me right now I have 4 sizes off of the plastic ring sizer. 7.5, 8, 8.5, and 9. All 3 "fit"

With the following 4 sizes, I can't "shake" loose the sizer even when i go buck wild.

7.5: Gotta push it on. Not terrible tough or painful, but for sure, its not coming off, and its very snug...not stopping blood, but its tight.

8: Takes a brief pause whilst crossing the knuckle. Whilst on, its pretty snug, but not "tight"...I can feel it there, it doesn't really feel constrictive. Doesn't spin too freely while wearing

8.5: Slides right on and off with minimal resistance at the knuckle. Whilst on, feels the most comfortable. Spins moderately while wearing.

9: No resistance when on or off. Spins freely with minimal resistance when wearing.

My OCD nature has made a YouTube Video: http://youtu.be/82zZuxNdS20

Thanks in advance!

one tip:

make sure you take into account the temperature and humidity where you are right now.

my husband has a plain platinum wedding band that was on the loose side. we were on an international flight where it was freezing and really dry for 10+ hours. as he was reaching up for his baggage, the ring flew off. thankfully we found it a couple of rows ahead, but the moral of the story is that your finger could shrink/swell, possibly as much as 1/4 to 1/2 a ring size, depending on the weather.

Okay, the 8 is definitely too small. The 8.5 is fine in that narrow band. But with an 8mm width ring, you usually go up rather than down because wider bands are usually more snug. So I would say to go for the 9.

8.5 if you are getting a narrow band. 9 if you are getting a wide band.

Sweet! Thanks for the help guys...I'll call in to change my order from a 8 to a 9...

Its gonna be a 8mm Comfort Fit Tungsten ring
