How to Drop a Hint...

I found this on a blog that I peruse on a daily basis

The item (a pair of underwear with the graphic of an engagement ring on top of the words "Hint Hint") was in the sales bin at Victoria's Secret.

How tacky, eh?

I wonder if that would really have an effect on a guy

Anyone willing to see if it does the trick?

I just showed it to BF-first he asked what were they, and when I told him undies-- he actually laughed. He never laughs at stuff I show him on the internet!! And then he said, "How cute."

I totally have those undies!!! I bought them last week at Victoria''s Secret when I was browsing with my mom. She also thought they were hilarous! I have yet to wear them and they are currently stashed at the bottom of my underwear drawer. I am positive that my boyfriend will think they are really funny/cute but I don''t think it will have too much of an impact on when my proposal comes. Oh well- I think they are cute and will wear them regardless.
They also had some cute ones with phrases like "hint hint" with engagement rings printed all over, and some that said "diamonds are a girls best friend"

Ha.. in retrospect, I can definitely see how they could produce a chuckle and be amusing. My first inclination was to think that they might be a little overkill and a bit bizarre, but I suppose it really depends on the type of relationship that the wearer has with the uh, viewer

I looked on their web site, but couldn't find 'em anywhere

Guess I'll have to venture out to VS and peruse their selection there.

How much did you pay for ''em?

I think they were regularly $15 each or something like that, but I bought a few other pairs of different ones so they were 3/$25, not on clearance.
