Hello, I am looking to find a way to verify if these Tiffany's Loupe I found on eBay might be a genuine vintage object. I think it might be from around the 2000 mark but at this point, it counts as Vintage (barely but it meets the criteria). However, I am aware many T & Co products are faked online. Does anyone have any advice on how to research this? I was going to buy a lot of catalogs and see if I can find the item there, but I am wondering if anyone in this community has seen an item like it or know where I could specifically learn more about it? Recent T & Co magnifiers look so different. Any thoughts? If it is indeed Tiffany's does anyone have any idea if its early, mid or late 20th century?

I am a gemologist who loves vintage jewelry but can't verify this item for some reason. My dad got me a thin tiffany chain and I thought a vintage loupe would look dashing and more personalized instead of the return to Tiffany piece.

I think it's old; no one makes a three-level magnifier like that anymore (usually 2X, 3X, and 6X combined).

I doubt it is fake -- too much trouble for too modest a payoff, imo.

I am sure you saw this listing which looks like yours:

Circa 2000s is about right; it’s from the “1837” collection; markings look correct.
