How to report a scammer on Loupe Troop?

lol I wondered the same thing. Such a stupid an obvious scam.

Omg I literally just logged on here to see if anyone had reported that post, what good timing!

cmon guys… don’t you want to take them up on that fantastic offer?? $2,000 for a 20 carat blue “diamond” and definitely *not* a piece of plastic?

I just emailed them saying that they are an obvious scammer and what they're doing isn't cool.

“I’m no gemologist” and “I don’t have a composition tester” really work to convince me that you must be able to accurately identify something you found as a diamond.

so, I'm guessing, like me, you think the "Brilliant rough blue diamond" found in Virginia Beach isn't really a diamond?

anyway, LT Admin is notoriously difficult to get ahold of ... and the site does no vetting whatsoever AFAIK ...

hopefully LT followers will notice "KyserSoze" is a brand-new LT member whose listings seem to combine pics and descriptions and prices that don't add up

This just keeps getting better. I told the person theres 0 chance it's a diamond, and that scamming isnt cool.

Hahahahahahah wow! The nerve!! Just wait till this person posts in the Pre-loved section on PS. I can’t wait to see that! *gets popcorn ready*

Lol
all I can think of after reading this is the “don’t lowball me i know what I got” jokes.

once they get a strong name we get to see all the non midrange stuff. I cannot wait.
im buying. I’m in the market. Bring it on.

*looks off into the distance*
Isn't that something, naming 'beach glass' in more interesting ways these days...

@ItsMainelyYou - nooooooo! You changed your gorgeous avatar picture!! Noooooooo!

On the other hand and getting back on topic....

Does anyone else think our LT poster reminds them of a gentleman who was on PS quite a bit a few months back, showing us his shady looking gems and asking for help re pricing or reselling? I can't recall his name, but I know a few people tried to convince him that his gems weren't all that.... He, too, kept saying he wasn't a gemologist but had been selling quite successfully. Ring any bells for anyone?

“…..Once I make a strong name” LMAO!

I think I’ll send him a message and tell him to just send me everything and I’ll let him know what he has. You know, to help him be able to release his middle range stuff so we can get to the high end stuff!

Oh lord. They sent me a pic to "prove" what they have. I cant. When I replied it's clearly sea glass, I was called an idiot, and 10 more pics were attached.image0.jpeg

You mean nobody can clearly see that Kashmir rough next to the green play-doh? Come on now, there is some good stuff there!

Wow. I haven’t looked on LT lately, but this sounds like a mess.

Clearly, the pandemic has hit some people harder than others. This poster must be wallowing in the mires of boredom.

@lovedogs - just out of curiosity - does he think the green glass is emerald?

Only for awhile, because I love her energy.
She is my spirit baby:twirl:

Yes, dear Callie.
He was finding huge diamond crystals in all colours of the rainbow …. Bless.
You cant reason or successfully argue with these types of people, they seem to genuinely believe they have found gemstone treasure and don’t appreciate anyone bursting their bubble of wistful thinking.
Anyone who thinks a bright blue diamond crystal can be bought for $2,000 will probably be happy with their misguided purchase.

Okay now I’m really laughing! Hehe I needed a pick-me-up at the end of a long day :D

But he polishes them himself. That’s why they’re still “rough”

… and about the green glass still sporting the actual curvature of the bottle from whence it came? That one is definitely emerald.

7 up pop bottle quality!

Oh, this made my entire day! My family and I vacationed to Virginia Beach regularly growing up. To think of all the treasure I could've had if I just put forth a bit of effort :lol:

I mean, what are the odds of finding all those valuable beauties on a beach? Some people have all the luck!!

It's only a matter of time before he makes his "strong "KyserSoze" name" for himself and we'll be able to say we knew him when! :lol-2:

Edited: Virginia Beach!
