How valuable is smoky topaz?

Hi guys,

I was just wondering whetehr anyone had an indication of how much smoky topaz would be worth. I bought a piece of jewellery with circa 4 smoky topaz stones, each weighing about 26c carats. Do these have any value or would I have paid for the overall appearance?

Any help would would be greatly appreciated!

The material is virtually costless compared to the rest of the piece and the work it too to put them together. Think... cents per gram or something. Large sizes are very much available too (LINK)... unless you found syntetic quartz sold under the 'smokey' name. Really, that wouldn't make allot of difference either for cost or looks.

But it is nice, and 'in' this year just like any other brown stone (if you ever listed to that kind of rumor). I was glad fashion finally got a nice subtle day-wear color on the shelves after all that pink!
