Hi All,

It's been a quite a while since I've been away from PS, but now that my reno is winding up and all the crazy is dwindling, I've been sat in front of the computer thinking of some on-hold projects. One of the ones I'm vamping up a bit is a DEAREST pendant that I've been thinking about starting for quite a while now. I've always looked the look of the Victorian Cluster Dearest rings and have been thinking of recreating something a bit more modern that could be quite fun.

Thanks to the wonderful @Bron357 I am two stones down (ruby and sapphire), and only have 5 more to go. The diamond I'm not so worried about since it's easy enough to find and as I'm undecided on the shape, this would be the last stone I buy. I think I've found an Alexandrite (instead of the traditional Amethyst) from Multicolour that would be a great addition to this project.

The two that I'm having trouble finding are the 4-5mm Emeralds/Topaz's that speak to me in a decent price point. I've e-mailed Mastercut, Multicolour, and a few others on the recommended vendors list but no one seems to have anything in the smaller sizes. The only place I've seen the right size and price for is etsy, but I'm a bit wary of purchasing from there as it feels a bit ebay-ish to me. (and I am too much of a newbie/wuss to take that leap of faith) Could anyone recommend some good vendors with good small sized stones?

Thank you ladies in advance!

Are you going to have a jeweler put it together for you? They may have what you are looking for easier than you can find. I had Wink make a grandmother's pendant for my Mom with ruby, rubellite garnet, tanzanite, sapphire (4 mm rounds) and I couldn't have asked for more beautiful stones.

I seccond using the jewler as a resoutce. You can also check emerald embassy, and if you are picky about declairing the degree of oil treatment then I would ask cecile raley designs to source something to whatever specifications you need.

Thanks for the suggestion ladies! I've actually been torn between going with a local jeweler or allowing a family friend (whose an amateur jewelry maker) to create the piece. He's quite talented and has made a few pieces for my aunts over the years that I've really liked. Until I've figured that out I've been poking around and trying to find what I can on my own. If I go with the family friend, I would probably have to source the stones myself anyways.
