I’m Stumped-Is this a Table, French or Carre Cut?

Hi PS friends. I need help identifying this cut. This is definitely an old cut-the table is wonky. I just can’t figure out what type of cut this is…

Looks like a chip repair done by a non expert. In no way does that look conventional to me… I think it might have once been a Carre cut. But maybe they took down the table (not sure why they would do an asymmetrical table) to address a chip?

Good question @LightBright ! This is a center stone on an Edwardian three ring. Maybe it was wonky family stone? Not sure. It's D/E color.

It looked to me like a poorly cut French Cut but that's a guess.

Hahahaha I also saw this request on Instagram - was it you or are you just trying to help vendor? I'm not the wiser too but it's interesting....

Oh it’s me LOL. Trying to get as many eyes on it as I can.

No to carré cut as that is a step cut.
